Im thinking about falttening the appearance of all the crome on my nova.
Kinda like this actually...

Anyone have any tips?? I was thinking of using Scotchbrite, is there a better way?

Send Jeff Trush a PM. (61bubbletop) I believe he did that to the bumpers of his old '69.

It's a Brushed Nickle Finish.


By far one of my favorite cars at the show. I would really love to see pics under the hood

i did it back 15 yrs ago on a 55 chevy , i used a scotchbrite and it worked great .
that chevelle had the trim was nickel plated then brushed .

look in this months hot rod.....under the hood will let you down slightly. Stil a badass car

Yeah, Trush scotchbrited all his trim on the Camaro. Pretty cool, unique, and inexpensive way for that look. The whole satin nickle thing would be quite a bit more money and also has the goldish tint to it, which may or may not be what your after. I think the problem with the nickle is that you have to make it the theme your going for and do EVERYTHING to pull it off, which would get quite pricey. Just my .02 good luck:thumbsup:

True. Seems like they could of cleaned it up a little better.

Also, I thought all the shots of the car in Hot Rod looked like they were done by an Amateur.
