Got my car, put down money today, gonna pick her up a week or two when i get back from my vacation next week. Ill be sure to throw up some pics for ya'll. Right now im collecting my parts to put her down for the complete transformation into a mopar g-machine like no other. Anyways: here are the specs.

1971 Plymouth barracuda
440 and 727, both built, i'd be the third owner, 2nd owner has had the car for 15 years and hes not sure what the original owner did, and he built it. the tranny was rebuilt a year or two ago with a small stall. the new owner says it has about 500hp, after driving that pretty optimistic, id guess closer to right around 375, she is fast though. No a/c, but power brakes and steering. rallye hood and gauges. there is a fuel cell in the trunk already. clean as a whistle and i got her for a steal.

The plan: I picked up a manual pedal set from a toyota pick up today, gonna use that to make a hydraulic clutch set up for a richmond six speed, which should be here when i get back. The motor is going to be fuel injected, im not sure what the cam is now, but there is one in there, not bad idle though. but ill change that cuz im going with Bob's (thesuperchargerstore.com) d1-sc kit for the 440. complete forged internals, .030 over 8:1, stock 3.75 crank. Basically its going to be a mean street car, will make a/c. will have stereo, will fit power windows.. etc. plan on getting rid of the front torsion bar crap and making a tubular set up with coil overs, big brakes and big wide wheels. im going to experiment with some body work ideas, i know what i want to do something real different in that department, im thinking of going some custom fender flares so i can run like a 12'' wide rear wheel with a lot of offset so it comes outside the fender. anyway.. pics coming soon.. im so excited!!

I mailed him, with some questions about his car. He responded and asked about my car. Great guy.

i love steve's car, his and the pure vision car, rogan's car.. all serve as both inspiration and motivation. Steve flared his fenders a little, im going to do the same, not the same style flare though, mine will be a bit more aggressive, love the roots type blower on his though.. looks cool. his interior is quite a bit different too, i hate to say but i love his car, there will be some similiarities between mine and his when done, but you know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. if your gonna copy something.. copy the best.

EDIT: re-reading list of cool mopars, i cant believe i forgot to mention, Stephen Durr.
