I am looking for someone that can do a nice straight driver paint job on my 55 2 dr.Post (ideally someone in a 50-75 mile radius of interstate 35/90)

Anyone around this area that does affordable body & paint work, likes working on old Kustoms (knows suede and metalflake) and can do nice metal work, some smoothing but nothing over the top, I know it need's rocker panels for sure, but it is a pretty solid 55 & not a rust bucket,it is originally a southern states car.

I also have access to quality new general repair parts if someone is looking to do some bartering and trading (Moog,Bendix,Tune up Parts, & some basic speed parts, Hedman Hedders etc - Quality type Auto Parts)

Maybe someone is looking for a side project? but Please keep in mind I would like it done in a timely manor, please do not reply if you have plans on keeping the car for shop ornament :) or only start @ $10K paint jobs and go up from there!

If you know of anyone that may be interested in this project,is honest and trustworthy and does have some refrences or pictures of stuff they have done Please PM me or leave a reply.

Thank you.

Midwest Paint and Body in Hull IA does real nice work. They painted my 69SS for me. Have the phone number at work, will post it tomorrow.
I had my current project done in Truman MN.( bout 10 miles north of I90 at Fairmont) at my brother in laws shop. I'm not sure they want another project that size after doing mine. LOL but I will ask if your interested. You can see some progress pics here

If you don't mind making a trip a little bit further we have a body shop as well. Just take a look at our previous projects to get an idea of what we can do.

You will have a hard time finding anyone to do a complete paint and body job for 10k. Especially doing minor sheetmetal work as well.....

What kind of money are you looking to spend? I know that for what you have decribed you are going to be real hard pressed to find someone other than a weekend guy to do it. As you said paint jobs 10K are more than your looking for. Just so you understand a little about painting a car. If you want good paint products your going to be in the $2000.00 to $3000.00 just for the supplies. That is unless the guy that is doing it out of his home shop doesn't get all his paint from his day job!! I know you are saying no way are the matials that expensive. Just add up EVERYTHING that you need to buy to do the job, sandpaper, tape, masking paper, primer (one gal for every blocking of the car) paint, and clear coat. It get real costly very fast. Not tring to pick on you all I'm saying is that $10K for a paint job with no panel repalcement and not alot of body work is VERY RESONABLE in todays world.
