This whole drifting thing is just absolutely beyond me. The worst part is that the dufus pups out there are now viewing these types of videos, and most assuredly are actually going to be trying this themselves. I have seen it a few times already here on the local interstates, and REALLY makes me wish I was wearing a badge and a side arm. I take some comfort in seeing multiple cars around me dialing their cell phones when this crap happens - RANT !

This stuff just scares the wee out of me - can you imagine just cruising along with your family, and some moron kid in his Jetta loses it while just d***ing around? heading straight for you?

Sorry for the rant...

Fun video though!

Drifting must be fun, but ON TRACK, not on public roads. But some poeple lack of maturity and that is dangerous.

That wasn't drifting. That was attempting to lose control. That's just plain stupid and dangerous. What kind of a rush these guys may get, I don't know. I get more of a rush screaming through some turns as fast as I can than I get from keeping from losing control. The truth is, when these guys find a situation where they have to regain control of the car to avoid an accident, they won't be able to. I know that I can, but that's because I've done it several times. I know my luck won't hold up though. I still don't see the fun in what those guy's were doing in that video.

I have seen a longer Video. It is Oil Barons over There in OILVILLE. The longer version shows them crashing into cars on th eside of the road, hitting Phone poles, other Oil Barons, etc. I think ebaumsworld.com has it.

I know where it was, on the old Video Link before the change over. Scott can you transfer any of it?

Definitly fair enough, just kinda a peeve of mine. Back on topic anyway, that video was pretty insane, i think the "sport" of drifting would be fun to compete but wasting a good pair of tires seems wasteful to me. I think there are more fun things to do but sliding around would be a blast (on a track or safe place, NOT public road). I've slid around a good bit in the snow in fort collins but it was in a huge parking lot in the middle of the night (not around light poles either), something is fun about going sideways at 70mph and watching snow fly over the hood.

Have you seen the complete Video of the Oil Barons sliding and crashing into cars, people, flipping over? Its wild and the music is hilarious.

Hey guys, lets back it down some. I think we all know where this stuff leads, and I don't want anyone to feel like they can't contribute or be part of the family.
