introduced this project last year, but the birth of my first child has delayed any real work on the car. I am finally getting some time to work on it. The time delay did give me the chance to work out a plan. Here are the details.

Engine & Drivetrain:
* Rebuilt 318
* late model Magnum 5.2 heads and intake
* Megasquirt fuel injection
* Magnum 5.2 race headers
* forced induction, T3/T4 twin turbos
* GM 700R4 transmission with TCI adapter
* Mopar Sure-Grip differential

Chassis & Brakes
* XV Motorsports Body Stiffening system w/ engine compartment brace, laser cut subframe connectors, lower radiator support, firewall to shock tower brace.
* Mopar 0.96" torsion bars, Heavy Duty leaf springs
* 1-1/8" front, and 7/8" rear anti-sway bars
* polyurethane front and rear suspension rebuild kit
* SSBC front and rear disc brake kits
* Ruff Racing 280 black 18x8, 20x10 wheels

Body
* carbon fiber six-pack hood

Interior
* www.whitegauges.net white face gauge overlay
* 2000-2006 Pontiac Bonneville front and rear seats

Here is the starting point.

Keep us posted. I love those cars! :thumbsup: Will you be going with the black and red interior like the model? I think that would look cool.

Yes. I have always liked the look of black cars with red interiors. I think red brake calipers behind black wheels, will set it off nicely, also.

You GOTTA love those hammered "before" shots of the car...So many people without vision would toss a car as "uhhhmm, bad" as this car is...Those people don't get it...

Cool Ride man...

wow, its about as bad as my bu was.. but at least yours is honest about the rust, no supprises there! and it wont be a shame to cut it up.. but if its that bad, why not go all out and mount it on a new frame? do it right in one go!

I like - once it's done you can tell people that they liked it so much they built a Die Cast Version of it.

NICE!!!

I LOVE those bodies too!

I just picked up an almost new '06 Hemi out of a Durango, complete w/ trans and computer for 1000$ on Monday (yeah yeah...good friends;) ).

My wife was all up side down with why i picked "that" up.....(I'm usually into Chevrolet stuff ya know...)

Well, its for my next project Honey!!! I'm keeping my eyes opened for a '70.

My Old Man had an Orange w/ black vinyl top, air grabber w stripe on hood, 383 model in 70, bran new. ( i saw it leave when he sold it and still remember that sad day) so you know, its a thing i gotta do.

Cool project. Def. keep us posted! And we want more pics!!!

Sweet. Another Mopar. I'm feeling like the lone ranger here. For reference, here's my '70 RR w/ 18x9 and 18x10 Boyd's wheels...

I love both of those Road Runners, especially the black one. It was a great stance and wheel combination. I like the stealthy feel of the gold one. Steve Strope's HAMMER was a big inspiration for mine.

I can't wait to get started on mine. I bought it last year for $500. The car is complete, with the engine, tranny, and full interior. Any parts that are not visible, were in the back seat, or in the trunk.

I would love to do an Art Morrison Max-G frame, with a turbocharged 6.1 Hemi, but finances will not allow. I am projecting a $20,000 budget in parts to get to the final product. This is going to be a labor of love, and a long term build, since it will be my first build of this magnitude. I also plan on doing everything, except for paint.

I thank you all for the support.

Sorry Roger. Last post.

I would love to do an Art Morrison Max-G frame, with a turbocharged 6.1 Hemi...

This was my plan- exacly. Well, w/o the turbo.

Here's the quick story:
I found the car advertized in Hemmings in, of all places, Franklin Co. Virginia - moonshine country. Black, factory stripe delete, added chrome trim and extra leaf in leaf springs at point of purchase (I have the reciept dated Nov. 1969)... You do the math.

I bought the car from the nephew of the orig. owner, who had committed suicide after he thought the Feds were going to throw the book at him for selling the supplies for 'shine. Nephew inherited the car after uncle shoots himself in '99, and totally restores it after pulling from the barn it had been in since '76. I've added the 18" Boyd's, TTI headers and x-pipe system, Mighty Demon 750 annular, and an Edelbrock Perf. RPM intake. Original manifolds, carb., etc. are in my attic. All #'s matching. I don't have the heart to cut it up.

Here's a shot of some of the minor clean up i've been doing...

I'm now in the hunt for something else to do the g-machine idea with. Maybe an E or A body. OR... maybe get in line for a '08 Challenger!
