It's pretty funny how the internet makes it seem like every other guy has a bad ass 69 camaro with an Ls7!!
Nice project by the way!

Thanks for the comments! No, I did not have to modify the fender at all for the oil tank. I cut about a 8" hole in the fenderwell and run the tank down alongside the frame rail. Used a paint can to mark the hole. By the way those brackets came with the Peterson tank.

Couple people showed up and asked what the he!! I was doing.
As far as the color danged if I know, we found one in a color map book that was close to what I wanted, then we started adding a little this and a little that. We do have it all in the computer if we need to reproduce it! When we first started spraying I was scared to death how it would look!!

Ain't that the truth, the internet has really changed the way we see things. Like trying to pick a color that hasn't been done on a 69 Camaro.
I struggled for months trying to figure that one out. Had to just make one up. I originally wanted black and it seemed like a bunch of nice cars got done in black right at that time. SW's camaro for one, even had the same wheels.
Thanks for the compliment, my body guys and I went to SEMA and we spent a fair amount of time in the Marquez booth going over your ride. WOW! Gotta be my new favorite. Unbelievable work. Sorry but we stole a few ideas. Recognize this?

Looking very nice Steve. :hail: What are you using for pulley's? This seems to be a major issue on stock subframes.
What EFI system are you using (FAST, etc)?
Very nice project. Please continue to post updates and pics.

I plan to use the ATS sidewinder setup. Checked it out at SEMA and it is very cool!

I'm using the stock Z06 computer and a harness from Speartech. It uses a LS2 MAF sensor and the stock drive by wire throttle body.

Probably should have started a new thread in Project Update section but, well here we are. Been busting my A$$ to get this done to enjoy driving it this summer. Fired up the motor two weeks ago today and managed to drive it downtown for a car show the next day. She started right up and sounds great. Still have some things to finish before driving it regularly though, like a real exhaust system and a tune and fabbing up an intake tube and mounting the ac and.... But it feels good to be this far:cheers:

ha The little things. Finishing up seems like it takes for ever. A/C leak, bad wiring plug, more A/C leak, new door latch rod connector breaks, radio doesn't work right, tuning, fabbing more parts, aaarrrgggghhh!
ha ha But you got to love it! :woot:
Congrats on a beautiful car
