Hey Leadfoot,

I was following this thread and I would like to add my 2 cents.

I work at Jon Nichols Motorsports in Lachine, QC, (514) 634-6330. We are a Sparco dealer. We can offer you the red Sparco Corsa (in stock in Toronto) for about $1,050 Canadian, ALL TAXES IN, per seat. If your order is big enough I can even get you delivery to your front door.

Keep in mind that a lot of the inexpensive seats, and ALL of the cheap seats, that you have been looking at are not FIA certified.

By the way, I am the guy who bought the 68 subframe from your buddy (at least he said he was!) last December.

OK.....

John, they are nice but not agressive enough to my liking (you're planning on doing a Street rod style interior in your car??? ;) )

Matt, Too "Tuner" for me, not the model but the color, they must be real nice all black!...But they are nice and i REALLY dig the fact that you can get the matching rear and even more the custom Logo!!!

Cheezer, i saw Christian the next day you we're at his place. He is a good friend. He just bought a 69 also. Your price is not too bad. I usually get my stuff shipped on the other side of Champlain's Boarder and pick it up there, broker it myself, so i get the same price you are offring...But getting them delivered for same is interesting! Do you guy's have a website?

I ordered an AIRbar today, should get it in the next few days. Looks like i'm going to try AIR out! Should be cool, i look forward to trying the performance they talk about it first hand.

You said you have 2 cars no?

Did you check out John's project??? ^^^^ If not do so. Its a REAL Monster.

That Corsa seat is really what i will look at soon! What do you guy's think of seats, do we put one for the driver only or does the passenger need one too, i mean, hanging on is all the pass has to do anyway, if we put too much comfort they might as well be sleeping!!!!

I agree....just Velcro them down to where the passenger seat goes!

Matt,

Have you used these in your car? How are they? I have been thinking about using these.

Lead,

LOL! Do you really think those seats are Street Rod?

John

Lets say that if you to put beige tweed on them....well...Yeah.

Its just that i tought you'd have more "violent" Likings with the build type you're having. But if you are thinking, "Its got everything Corvette-might as well go with "corvette owner styled" seats" I guess its ok then...:P

Seriously, maybe i'm perceiving your vision as more of a race car in sheeps clothing and i didn't get it right. what are your plans for the finished look.

Are you more Carbon fiber and steel or leather, plastic and suede Like those early full tilt pro-street show cars/ trailer only used to be, man i wish i had an example....I see them but its hard to explain.

Hey, anyway its done its going to be mean and i already love the thing. I like the fact that just discussing seats makes me bring that kind of question.

What colours are you thinking of again? In/ out?

Hey, i bought an Airbar system for mine today! Should get it next week. (And NO! I'm not going to build it "Lowrider" styled! ;) )

Gettin' old in my age my friend! I think "Violent" isn't the right word here! I would say more "Tech". I'm also thinking in terms of some of the "longer" drives I'd like to do with the car so as fun as "violent" seats would be for track day, I have to think about the street aspect also! That's where my dilemma lies! I guess what I have come to is a seat that is well bolstered but I can drive from L.A. to S.F. and not have to worry about my a$$ or back hurting when I get there!

John,

I don't personally have them but I have sat in them and liked them alot.

For everyone:

The Arizen has a slider that sits the seat as low as possible which looks better for those with a 69 Camaro 'vert (Mine:yes: ), having sat in the seat, the side bolsters were a little tight for me, I'm 6'1" 200 and even though they weren't to small, I wanted more room. Arizen then came out with a version 1" wider and they are also coming out with a shorter side bolster in a month or so. Here are the seats without the shoulder strap option: http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22344&page=2

Last but not least, the price. For BOTH seats with heaters and leather with mounts they are about a grand depending on what options you want.

Seat are a very subjective thing, but at least this is a quality option at a good price...a friend of mine that has them for a year now highly recommends them and he long hauled the Power Tour in them.

Hope this helps,

Matt

*!/$?!****!!! I hate it when it does that!!!!

I had a page typed up and lost it going back! (no i didn't copy before moving)

AAAahhh anyway, i was saying i went back and i think the only difference i see is in the headrest. I like the ones with the pass thru for the harnesses better i think. ("the race look" to me i guess.)

I also remember saying i'm not into digital gauges and stuff and that maybe its seeing all that tubing in your car that makes me think RACE car but in fact i understand your HiTech point and i finished by saying you probably found the long searched for, PERFECT BALANCE!

If i find some stuff i forgot i'll type back.

Hey Matt,

COOL! Another tubbed convertible !!!! What wheel and tire are in your future?

Do you have a progress thread on your car, not to hijack John's.

I definetely want to learn more!

Arzien seats. I had them built with black and white hounds tooth inserts and had a rear cover stitched up to match. I would reccommend for a non-FIA approved seats. Fit and finish as good if not better than the Corbeau and Cobra seats that I have looked at. They also sit lower than any other brand which is a big plus in a 69 camaro.

Let me know if you want to see a pic

I fit fine and I am 5'11 and 190. The seat back is not as aggressive as some, which will make for enjoyable cruising.

Lead,

Just click on the G-force Designs link in my sig and go to the gallery to find my build. I have been following your car as well and the latest challenge I have is waiting for the DSE sub to show up...anyway, I'm running the new Lateral by Budnick with Ps2's now that the BFG Kdw2's won't be coming out.

Payton King,

I would love to see some pics of your seats in your car! I am almost convinced I am gonna use these seats so more input will help!

Matt
