well, new member, got a grocery list of suspension **** in my g body cutlass-

UMI rear control arms, Eibach springs all around, KYB's for the time being, Now defunk Pro Fab tubular upper and lower front A Arms, Energy poly body mounts, Front WS6 1 3/8" sway bar, rear 1" global west sway bar. rear control arm mount connectors, soon an 8-10 point cage. very indecisive about the engine choice though, i have an LS1 with a rod hangin and a perfect caddilac 472. well, heres the only pic i have, i got a slightly nicer camera now, so more new pics to follow. http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m301/Faastgbody/cutlass.jpg

edit- sittin on Firebird 16x8's with some toyo proxies 4's

It's good to see another G Body project in the works. I'm currently going the whole nine yards on my 68 Camaro but plan on following your lead (at some point) with my 85 SS Monte Carlo that I've owned since it came off the trailer from Chevrolet. I agree with MCSSGMachine on the LS1 choice but in the end, it is your choice and the car will rock either way. Please do keep the pictures coming.

NICE!!! Glad to see how popular the 80's Gbodies are getting around here. Shoehorn than Bad Cad in there. Dare to be different! Maximum Torque Specialites makes a G-body motor mount kit that's a bolt-on. Hopefully, they're still around. Keep us posted!

well, i was really hoping to go injection, and i can inject the cadillac for fairly cheap. will have to upgrade the oiling system to handle the cornering forces, but its not a real heavy motor as some know. i allready have headers welded up for the cad. (hooker super comp 2" primary with 3.5" collectors  ) long tubes rock on big blocks :unibrow: i am still thinkin about going coilovers. need to find some brake upgrades because as of now, i have some high capacity front stock style calipers and factory rear drums :wow:

Coilovers on the front are Kinda Tricky. I have a solution though.
Coming soon.

If you end up sticking with the 472 and using a FI system, let me know how it works out. Thinking of doing that to my 500 that's going in my Nova.

I think the 10 point front to back cage, with maybe a couple additional points will take the twist out of the frame. :unibrow: its got poly mounts right now, thinkin about solid AL. anyone got a Good source? the wheels are 16x8 third gen Firebird wheels (about 21LB's a peice, and got em for 200 bucks) and they should work for now :D leaning more towards the 1970 472 caddillac i got. talked to Potters performance a couple times, thinkin about destrokin the cad to 3.900, and boring it out to 4.440, with some fancy rods, and pistons :unibrow: a full shaft rocker system, and a custom cam. with injection of course. dare to be different huh ?:lateral: oh yea, color will be semi flat black with a matte clear, so it will look pretty flat.

if you do run solid mounts the roll cage will sure stiffen it up nice... i had mine done where they didi the frame off.. ill give them a call and see if they cant make another set.. but if i were you id make a bunch in delrin or aluminum.. im sure marcus at sc&c could sell a bunch for you.. or you could try www.dixiemontecarlodepot.com he also has a thing for cornering g-bodys
