What do you guys think about the Gen 2 Camaros, '70-'72? I'm looking at one for myself. I have been talking to Rick K. alot these past few days, he has been very helpful with what I need to look for ect. Anyone know where there are some pics of some PT enhanced Gen 2's?

Specs are 406ci sb, Richmond 6spd, Wilwood 4 wheel disc, Hotchkis springs, Vintage Air/heat, power windows, Covan's Dash w/Autometer guages, 18" TT 2's 10's out back, Ceramic coated headers and 3" exhaust. Body was media blasted and painted, all new interior, all new glass & chrome. The only change to the body I would want to make is to modify the cowl hood. That is the "small" cowl hood from Goodmark. My body shop guy said he could pie cut the scoop and make it look more like the one on my '69..

I've been surprised in all the years they've done cowl style hoods for the second gens that nobody made it more like the 69 cowl hood it copied. That mod would look great.

Rick has one of the nicest second gens out there imo. I saw it on the '04 Power Tour and it was better in person than in the mags. I think they are a great platform. 70-73 Camaro is on my list to get and the only generation Camaro I have yet to own.

Thanks!! Yes it's mini tubbed. The rear is narrowed 4"/side and the front is narrowed 1 1/2" /side using Fat Man tubular control arms.

The black Camaro belongs to a friend of mine Georgia. Dale built a very nice car and he is a great friend to boot. His car got lots of attention at the Fall Grand Run. If you buy it you have to bring it, the 69 Camaro and the Mustang to Pigeon Forge this year.

We are also building a 70 RS "clone," which is to say that we cut up a non-RS car and put RS goodies on it. Not to try to pass it off as an RS, but rather because the front nose with the split bumpers, etc is just too sexy. The car is going in for paint this week, hoping to have it done for the Good Guys Del Mar show this year (which is extremely aggressive). I love the lines and look of these cars too, and watching the local pricing on donor cars or original ones, well, the price is going up which hurts the typical hobbyist. Still some great deals out there though, and if you need to replace sheet metal, it's available in the aftermarket and over fits pretty darned good (unlike panels of five or ten years ago).
Mini-tubed, our 3-Link rear setup, it'll also be the first (second?) car to get our front suspension goods too (stock front frame based), custom leather interior, etc. Only thing not set in stone is the color of the paint, and the exact wheel selection. I'm really excited about it, there are a good number of them out there already built, but not nearly as many as the first gen's (which I also love/have one, there are just so many of them though). If you have the means and opportunity to buy one, don't hesitiate!

This post was lost as well yesterday. I was trying to tell you buy it SW.
Here's some pics of a nice Red 2nd Gen that was on Ebay a while back. I like them with the bigger rear spoilers myself, but that's just my opinion.

PM sent earlier...if it didn't go through, it's a 2 1/2 cowl. Fiberglass style with functional cowl induction. I have an oval dual quad air cleaner that fits perfectly under and within the cowl.
Sorry, I don't have a good pic of the underside of the hood right now, but I can get you one. Here's the best I can do. It shows the induction and the amount of clearance the hood allows. I'll try to post better pics later.

I think the car your looking at is outstanding Streetking, mind you I'm biais about 2nd gen's (building what I consider to be a pretty serious 72 RS with with trick suspension, brakes, 5 speed tko and a 556ci all aluminum pump gas motor for Carlisle hopefully).....
P.S. Do we have a friend in common named Chris from Toronto that likes twin turbo everything lmao ?????

Yes, I got it. It's really nice but a good friend of mine saw it and really wanted it so before I got too attached, I let him have it..
I really want to build a '70-'72 Trans AM, similar to my red T/A but with a big high hp Pontiac motor.. I also bought one something else..:)
