Well we have slowed down on the C6-57 truck project, but we are seeing some progress finally. The truck will be mostly in paint next week. We dynoed the engine at Westech. The engine made 592 hp at 6000 and 584 ft lbs at 4100 rpm. That thing rips, it made 500ft lbs from the start of the dyno run at 3500 rpms on.

The exhaust is finally done. It looks great. We should be powder coating the frame soon and starting reassembly pretty soon.

We slowed down on the build progress due to the coverage that Truckin mag has done and will do on the build. We have had about 25 pages of coverage in Truckin in the past 4 months. They are covering everything from the chassis fab to the upholstry.

Novanutcase will post some pics here soon for you guys. My new computer is lacking the resize software as of yet.

Thanks guys Rodger

Oh My God ! I don't know what that means - but I want it !

Wow, that chassis came out awesome guys ! And the motor looks wicked too with that touch of red !

REALLY can't wait to see the frame in paint and all mocked up.

Is the exterrior of the engine painted, brushed, powder, or some other treatment ??

Excellent job !

I have not done anything to the outside of the engine it is stock for now. But I will begin detailing the engine in the next few weeks.

The transaxle has been powder coated and the torque tube will be also.

Thanks guys

Hi Rodger !

Reading the monthly buildup article in Truckin magazine of your C6 Truck. Saw the electrical/electronics going in. One question to you and some of the other builders - do most of you plan for and/or install security systems in your builds, or do you leave that up to the customer to install if they want it later ? Are people putting security systems in G/PT type cars since we seldom leave them out or unattended ?

Hope to see some final truck pics soon !!

Thanks Jim!

Now I got a neck ache trying to read the article sideways!

I plan on installing a security system in my build. You never know what could happen and with the car blown apart it just makes sense to add it in IMO!

Yeah I hope to see the final pics really soon.

We plan to install a security system to run the windows and doors along with GPS stuff to find it, IF the bad guys get it.

I guess I could post some pics that we took week or so ago before we took it all apart for the millionth time. But They are at home on my laptop, I think some other guys have some pics, I might get to it tommorrow.

Thanks for the response guys - and sorry about the sideways pic... and your neck John.

I thought it would be the best time to integrate the security system as a packaged deal - but had not seen it on most builds. Maybe they didn't want to let people know what they installed - and I understand that too based on the cars being stolen recently.

PICS !! (how can I steal your ideas without seeing them ????)

:D

This truck is flat out amazing - great fab work. This truck along with John's Nova are two of my favorite builds right now.

Rodger - are your skills self taught through experience or have you been formally trained. Your fab work is top shelf!

Can't wait to see some more pics!

Thanks I cannot take all the credit, I have some talented guys who work with me. We all have our strengths. Most of are self taught daily ans working to push the bar further and further. There is nothing hard about build this kind of stuff it just takes time, the right tools and some talent or practice.

We hope to have the truck at SEMA this year in certain wheel manufacturer's booth. They have not fully committed, so we will wait till they commit until we let the cat out of the bag.
