Just got off the phone with my clinical supervisor. we have a pretty good relationship and i told him the name of my car... "Dr. Syko". To which he made that grimace face you do when you taste something bitter. Apparently, having the job title i do, i represent my entire field, crappy as it may be, i am pretty much at the mercy of my regulartory board, and if they found it offensive... well i'd be screwed from practicing for a while.

So, i need help coming up with a new name for my car.

I was thinking something non-therapy related, but still cool sounding. I came up with "Daemon". My friend, who thinks he's a riot, said "Kia-Maro"... not funny.

Thoughts? suggestions? i'm open. You can click the link in my sig to see more pics.

What a bunch of BS. How the hell could they justify giving you a hard time about something like that? It's a free country. Call it whatever you want. It's a car, not a patient.

True true... we... *ahem* Therapists have an uphill battle when it comes to getting people help when they need it most. Stigma is huge for a lot of people, and if they heard me going around calling things "psycho" or "crazy", it would make the entire industry look like we are labeling people. He has a point, i dont agree with it. But, he is my supervisor.

OCD (obsessive Camaro disorder)

Maybe I missed something, why did you tell your supervisor the car's name in the first place? Call it what you want and don't tell him.:D

I recall suggesting "Sanitarium" when you asked for help naming it the first time... and using Metallica's "Enter Sandman" as the car's theme song. :D

Change it from Dr. Syco to Dr. Heywood Jablomi...

see if that isn't too politically correct.

Reminds me of when my son was 5 years old, it was Halloween, and he was a cross between a Clown and an Army Soldier (don't ask)...Some sarcastic dude asked him if he was "Bozo the Clown".

Without hesitation he said "No"..."I'm Bozo the Death Machine to you."

How about ,"UNTS"

aka, "Mixed Nuts"

and then you can always make up something you can tell people who might not understand. (something like, "University of North Texas State" or, use your imagination)

Then for you and us it's an inside joke, and for them... well it's mindless. (Pun Intended);-)

............ or maybe even, "STUN RD"

Then only your Dyslexic Patients might guess it!

..... And you can tell people it's short for, "Stunning HotRod", or just, "Stunning Rod".

FYI: No one needs to give me a hard time, I happen to be Dyslexic. I always just try to listen backwards when people talk.

How about "Sanity"? I mean, it helps you keep yours, or loose it, and they may be a bit more receptive to it.

Or...

How about "Stock Therapy" It basically says it all. What you're doing to your car is therapy for dealing with stock performance. :unibrow:
