Yes you can use leafs,as far as room goes it depends on the car.

On my 69, with the DSE mini-tub kit, a 335 is as wide as I'd want to go with the leafs. The tires are close to the leaf springs, but there's plenty of room in the wheelhousings. A 345 would be no problem if you weren't running leaf springs.

But you have to have the offset shackles, right? And how about the gastank? It needs to be narrowed, right?

You've got it Jan, you'll need both of those items to gain the full benefit of mini-tubbing a first gen Camaro or 68 thru 74 Nova.

1. Yes, they are the Fontana, in an 18x12 with 6" back spacing.
2. Mopping, lots of mopping........ And it sucks!! :(
3. I've got 335/30's for the rear, nothing for the front yet.

Good luck, and if you have any questions once you get started, feel free to fire away with the questions, as quite a few of us have already completed the process.

so If i mini tub my car using the kit from DSE, I still need to get the gas tank narrowed, or get a custom one?

I was thinking of a 335 tire on a 17" rim, but still have not decided if I'll mini tub or not..

Help......

Yes, you will. There's just not enough room back there for both the stock width tank and offset mounted leafs.
