Hey guys, I know its not a pt car but do you think it can be done space wise. Anyone familiar with these cars. It would make for a really fun car with lots of handling/suspension aftermarket. LS1/t56/in a really really small cheap car. TEll me what you think
If you can get it stuffed in there, it will be bad fast!

There was a company that made the Monster Miata's Ford 302 with a 5 spd and a 8.8 rear I've seen a couple damn fast, but the LS1 would be better much lighter

Do some research on Monster Miatas. They have Ford 302s in them, and if the 302 fits, I can't imagine the LSx wouldn't. You can also find some info in what they use to make the drivetrain hold. I think they use Thunderbird center sections for the rear suspension. Obviously you will need to do something about the brakes, but I would bet there are kits out there for that as well.
My wife has a Miata, and I've always thought a nice Chevy 4.3 or the supercharged 3.8 out of a FWD Bonneville or such would make a cool swap.
Shiny Side Up!
