well id like to run my 18x10s with 5.5 backspacing in the front.
i saw that fatman has 2to2 inch narrowed controll arms that shorten the track enough to run that.

i would have rather done the GW or DSEs for the caster but they dont offer a narrowed.. and if i wanted to do that.. it would have to be the subframe.. which i dont need.

so.. anyone used the fatmans?
or had any other form to ride with wider up front?
:geezer:

They are marketing these arms specifically so guys can run "deep dish" wheels for looks... and not mentioning they increase both lateral scrub and scrub radius as a result of the reduced track width and corresponding increase in offset of the wheels. That's bad.

It's a hot rod "look good" part being coyly marketed as a performance part. It's not.

If you want to run wide wheels up front about the only thing I can think of is make custom CA's that maintain (or increase) track width but are "narrower" in a top-down view so the wide wheel can swing through the steering arc without the wheel contacting the control arms at the extremes of steering throw.

So could DSE or GW etc made use control arms wich would maintain the needed values for good handling but still able to use wider wheels?
