A relative of mine (bitten by the car bug recently) is looking for a Chevelle that he can drive around while he works on it. His wife is buying it for his 30th (cool wife huh!). I'm coaching him as much as I can about the search, inspection and purchasing. Since I'm more of a Nova guy, I'm probably not as well versed as some of you A-body experts on things to look for.

Anyway, he really couldn't care less about matching numbers or a big block or an SS right now....maybe down the road. Right now his best bet is probably a clean, good running plain jane or clone.

He's looking in the under $10K range, though his wife is hovering in the $5-$6K range. Anyone got something that'll work? Even if, it's a sibling A-body car or other he may bite. However, he's 6'9" and can't fit in X or F bodies or Mustangs.

He's located near Dallas but is willing to have it shipped. I'll have to figure out how to check it out for him.

Please email, PM or call my cell with any info.
Thanks!
