IMHO one of the best looking vert's I've seen in a really long time

Looks like they toned down the interior a bit to a more production friendly level. There's probably still a few details that will be cost reduced but overall it's staying true to the initial concept.....I'll probably buy the hardtop, though this is looking like a great summer ride.
I still don't like that eggcrate grill.

The photos dont show it off as well as they could. The colors are much more vibrant in person.

Any comment on the gated shifter from any one "in the know"?
Looks awesome. How close is this to a production intent concept?

Love the convert.. Beautiful!! I have already been forewarned that the wife will have one of these in the garage when the come out. I wonder if you can pack 2 kids, kid seats, strollers, diaper bags etc in there somewhere? :D

Love the interior, still hate the car, don't want to wait another 2-3 years to get one. I am praying I can afford the Challenger after the invoice gouging is over.

I think it looks great. Like the interior. I wish the engine guages were higher up on the dash so that you wouldnt need to take your eyes off of the road that much, but I do think they look great in the center console like the 1st jn's. Ben I bet new grills are going to be one of the first aftermarket products available for this thing, so I wouldnt wory to much about the kind of ugly grill.

I have a feeling that my checkbook is not going to like me when these cars hit the showfloor.
Bitchin' car!
Chris, how much "hands on" time did you get with the 5th Gen Vert?

Give it to me in an RS version too. I really like this car.
The General has really got its act together. There's a lot of great stuff that has either just came out or is on the way.... the 5th Gen Camaro, the GMT900, the new Lambda platform (wife decided months ago she was getting one, lol), Saturn Sky Redline, the ZO6, the highly "rumored" :_paranoid Blue Devil, the CTS SuperV, the next gen CTS, and the next gen Impala.

I also forsee a new Camaro payment in my future  I think the exterior still looks great and the interior has really grown on me

I think they finally got the beat up aircraft carrier turned around. I mean, the new Malibu isn't ground breaking looking but it's an improvment. The full-size trucks look much better. They are starting to listen to car enthusiasts more and bean-counters less. The biggest improvement I see is concentration on interior fit and finish. How many years did they let the magazines pound on them for that?

aaaaaaahhhh - a ROADSTER! You guys definately picked the right paint scheme in my opinion, gorgeous. I wonder if black hounds tooth mighta looked good if you broke it up the right way? Maybe too much...
I like the treatment to the wheels too. Like to see the convertible in person.
