This Christmas i got my dad a true gearheads favorite kind of present: Performance motor parts. We have been restoring our 68 Olds Cutlass since 97 and have taken it from junker to gem. Where we had already built a mild motor for it, my dad had been wanting a little more power out of her. I figured i would get him a new hydraulic camshaft and lifters for Xmas. As we all know these projects snowball and my $200 cam turned into an $800 investment. LOL

And here is a boring video of it running. keep in mind this is the 3rd time its ran and we had just tuned the carb and set the timing, we will let it break in before pouncing on it. Maybe i'll get you another vid in a month or two.

Nice Cutlass! I may be biased of course :unibrow:

Also, I will have to agree with the others that any time spent with your dad is a good thing. I will forever cherish my time with my dad on our various projects, even the ones I didn't enjoy while working on them! My parents moved to NC last year, and not haveing dad around for projects has been quite an adjustment!

Shiny Side Up!
