Saw this in the new Streetrodder. Kinda cool and reasonably priced at $55K. www.southernmotorcompany.com

Did you click on the Pallette link? That's pretty slick.

It looks like they are using a 46-48 Chevy car grill. The Specs page says that it has a 4.6 3 valve Mustang motor in it - seems like an odd choice? It also says that the rear suspension is a 4-link, but in the picture of the exhaust tip you can see a leaf spring and shackle.

All in all it looks pretty cool though.

Why a mod motor in a GM? Looks nice.
We do have a chassis for the 48-53 chevy/gmc trucks.

Sweet looking truck  . Seems odd not to offer it with a LSx though.

It is offered with an LSx and if you look close, the engine on the site is an LSx and not the mod Ford although both are available. It is definitely a very interesting approach.

Why a mod motor in a GM?

It is my understanding they are/were having trouble with GM on the licensing end of things. GM is not wanting to cooperate. Don't know much more than that.

It is a turnkey truck. I also read lately that it was originally going to have the LSx, but GM won't play ball. So they were able to hook up with Ford and the truck is suppose to be able to be serviced at any Ford dealer.
