its happened again.. well not quite but the result is the same! i ordered a bunch of stuff from ats, among this a touring classic brake setup...and it got lost in shipping... usps have ti leaving NJ on nov 27. and from there the trail ends.. Both ats and touring classics have been awesome andd forthcomming in trying to track the stuff, but in the meantime my brakes are gone... im not realy complaining.. guess i just wanted some sympathy...

Sounds like someone along the USPS line needed brakes too.

I have had packages lost too, not sure how big packages get lost, yes maybe a day or two, but for weeks, months, never to be found. Come on the packages dont walk out to the woods and become hermets.

My buddy ordered some Bose computer speakers from Comp USA online. FedEx delivered and empty box. Now nobody wants to make it right.

Luckily I have never had a problem (knocking on wood)

I feel for you it happens alot and UPS and FED EX do not really help that much in tracking unless you really lay on them, I purchased a set of nos GM aluminum heads for a restoration project and they lost one head

Because people steal stuff from mail services all the time. I worked at UPS and saw it happen.

People sometimes just suck...

yeah... i can see one disappearing, but three, ime with the rotors, one woth the calipers and brackets and the third with the master cylinder.... but i hope they come to good use somwhere and that the insurance covers it... as long as i get my brakes in time to hit the roads in april... but it sure is annoying.. its been three months since a transmission company cheated me out of over 900 dollars worth of goods (i ended up paying taxes and customs in that 900 btw... (an extra 39%!!)) and claimed the shippers lost it... so this feels a little to much like deja'vue

although with TC and ATS on the other end im a whole different kind of confident that ill get my stuff, or replacements, this time

but it still blows

One way things happen is when the guy drops off something to the wrong place and no one reports it.

yeah... but the stuff never made it to denmark... it just magically disappeared in NJ. no trace in the computer.. no signature... no nothing....

it never entered danish customs...

i must say that i tend to agree.. but the first one (ck perf) was a vendor who was downright dishonest .. still havent gotten the replacementparts he promised here.. nor does he respond... btw

this time i guess we just sent somthing that looked alittle to interesting past somone with questionable ethics just before christmas... i am 100% sure that if the packages were marked "stool sample" i would have recieved them no problem !!!

I remember your last incident, If you want me to go talk to him I will.
He is well known in my area and respected by many so I don't know what
could have happened.

actually i am prety sure i know what happened.. i ordered the transmission arround august first. and there was a delay in getting the right converter to him from his supplier... which is totally understandable.. chris then went on vacation to greece for a couple of weeks, also totally ok with me..

i had arranged the shipping on his request, and when he told me that the stuff was ready the shipping in november... company DFDS freight btw. picked it up at his location

they then contacted me and asked if i was willing to pay for crating, as the goods were not crated!!! i accepted and when i recieved the crate here i opened it and found one transmission and one 14x14x9 box containing one converter..

now when i ordered the transmission i ordered a complete setup, tranny, dipstick, calibrated spedometer drive, billet yoke, shifter, cable, brackets, PU tranny mount, bolts, spedometer drive cable... the works!

the crate contained one complete naked transmission, and one converter... but there was no spedometerdrive in the hole... there was a red plastic plug in the hole though... there was no dipstick... no dipstick tube, no tranny mount, no shifter, no cable, no yoke, no bracket.. no sign of the additional parts...

i than called CK and told him that they forgot to include some stuff... and he asked what stuff?? (still ok with me) i explained what parts i felt was missing from my 4300dollar transmission (youd figure that there were extra parts at that price right?)

he told me that he would look into it, and when i talked to him on the phone tne following monday, he said that all the items that were missing were in a 14x14x9 inch box, because he had two items listed as sent to denmark... i then took a picture iof the transmission and the 14x14x9 box comtaining the converter and that the other items were missing...

i even said that i was willing to pay for the extra shipping as long as he boxed them up and emailed me when they were ready for pickup.. and this is where things went wrong for him...

he claims that the fact that he is unable to find th eshifter in his enormous warehouse (no idea how big it actually is) is proof that the items were sent and that since i havent recieved them, the shipping company must have lost them... he offered to send replacement parts while he solved the dispute ..He did no such thing

but the most outrageous claim that he makes, is that a shipping company should have unbolted the spedometer drive, and pluged the hole, removed the dipstick and trannymount and stolen every small part, but sent the transmission and concerter is just idiocy..

and after him not returning my calls, or the shipping companys calls for that matter, and ignoring my emails, i then posted at thread here on lateral to ake him up... do you think i got my parts???? NO... he even offered to send replacement parts here on lateral... and did he ??? no...

if you want to swing by him, i will be more than happy to call you up and explain my side of the story, ill even give you the name of the contact person in DFDS freight´and you can talk to her... i really would like to have it resolved, since im out over 1000 dollars in parts, and ive payed 39% sales tax, and customs on that amount... so im really out 1400 dollars because of him

pm me if you would like me to call and explain myself before you drive over there
