I get a lot of questions on my 69 Vette about the flares. I am also helping a friend right now get wicked wide with his 81. I created a quick "How To" page on my site.

He just ordered his 18x9.5 fronts and 18x12 rears for the car last night. This car is going to rock! He has also ordered his full suspension kit to give it some handling to match the 406 small block, 3:73 gears, and built 700R4.

69MyWay, I go back and forth on flares or not flares. I've booked make your site if I every chose to go that route. I managed to get 18x10s on the rear with no body modifications. Rod

Bad news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He forgot to verify the left rear lugs were tight and lost the wheel on the road on Father's day. It destroyed the rim, studs, and fender.

He is sick about it!

He had yet to increase his insurance to include comp/collision.

I guess the car gets to live in my garage for a few more months.

Ah....car is leaving now. I put a few hours on it this weekend to get him over the body work hump. He had already re-bonded the body seperation cracks on the underside. I went ahead and fille, smoothed, primed, and blocked the outer cracks. Car is ready to roll back to the paint shop now and start over. The rim is on the way back to Intro.
