Since there are now many options for 1 gen subs i liked to know how DSE managed to tuck 9,5" / 275 at front in twister ? What needs to be done ?

It can be done but backspacing needs to be perfect. There is a thread on PT.com somewhere where Carl C put 275's on the front of his 67-8

From what I've seen, 17x9.5 with 5.75 BS fits all the way around.

From what I remember you have to add a little to the steering stops and only lowering your car an inch or two would help a bit too. Carl's car isn't as low as some of our's.

but in an article they stated that he changed the spindles and made his own upper control arms. He also had to modify the inner fenders to keep them from rubbing.

You are right Payton . More inportant is at this can be done with minor modifications with stock sub.

I am balancing in my mind with stock sub with total DSE treatment vs new Graig Morrison frame.
