Just joined, so I thought I'd intro my project. I am pretty much just getting started, but I am making good progress. The shell is completed (total rebuild)and back at the bodyshop for seam sealing, primer, and final paint on the bottom, firewall and jambs. My subframe is done and my engine is done.

Here are few pics:

The shop is really making some progress this week.

Props to my man "Nam" for donating his fingerprints via a lot of hand sanding...

They will be spraying sealer and paint tomorrow! (jams, firewall, and underside)

Final paint has been applied on the firewall, jambs, underside, rockers, and trunk. The shop needs to spray the dash and then she'll be headed home for assembly by weeks end.

Not the best pics as the flourescents in the spray booth were still warming up (it is only 12 degrees here!)...

Lookin' good Phil.
12 degrees ? Is that silver paint or ice crystals on your 'bird ?

Well, it's rolling so we can get it out of the shop by early next week. :willy: The rearend that is underneath it is temporary (the stock one) which will be replaced with 3" DSE drops springs and a Ford 9" as soon as I get it back. The wheels and tires are for transport purposes only.

Coming along nicely! What color did you go with? What do you have planned for wheels/tires? Are you adding subframe connectors?

69TAPoser
02-17-2007, 08:02 PM
The color is Tungsten Gray Metallic that is found on the Ford GT. Wheels will be 18" not sure which ones yet (thinking about Budnik Fontanas or Intro Vistas). Whatever I choose, they will have black centers.

I will be running GW subframe connectors (not installed yet), that is why you see the aluminum bushings.
