Has anyone done any mods to their Tremec which would help it shift better at higher rpms? From my experience the Tremec does not like full throtle, foot thru the radiator, shifting above 6400 rpm or so. I have been told that grinding off every other tooth of the sync gears will help or upgrading to a pro shifted version, which I was told can not be down-shifted, is a fix. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have heard that Amsoil has a lube for the TKO-600, the users did say they noticed a considerable improvement in how the gear box shifted. Maybe/ Maybe not, although for 25 bucks it might be worth a try.

Are you sure your clutch is fully disengaging? If you are using a diaphram-style clutch, higher rpm shifts are affected.

Yes, I am using a diaphram style Ram setup. While my car is down this winter I am thinkin about going to a McLeod.

what parsons said.
check your air gap disengaged when fully warmed up, and check the disc for any warp.
