well I haven't posted in almost a year so figured I would update....

I currently have a home hacked weekend job 2 link rear (panhard for lateral control) with airbags on it.....it sucks and I don't trust it....I made it in a huge rush as the car was my DD but has logged on 30,000 miles almost on this setup so it is plenty worn out now.

I have some poly bushes and sleeves laying around (solid and pivot styles aka johnny joints) and some steel....

I can get some bolt in subframes for my car and a rear crossmember to attatch the torque arm links. I can put in a crossmember for a torque arm to mount to and then toss some coil overs on the rear and move my panahrd (currently on the back of the housing)

I haven't really studied torque arms much as I wanted to go with a tri-4bar but need a new suspension asap and no time to backhalve the car right now. I was wondering if there is anyway to mount a torque arm to keep ground clearance under control? also what are your guys's thoughts on ford third member mounted panhard bars?

I currently have an 8" in the car and was just going to bolt to the front of it for the TA and weld some coil over mounts to the housing.

I am trying to keep it as a quick deal since I am going to have to borrow shop space to do this (so no big cutting need a mostly bolt on quick and easy suspension) can I go too long on my TA itself?

I am looking at bolt in brackets to go under my spring pads and maybe a bolts in style shock mount (bolt into stock subframe after drilling holes then tack in place) do you know of anyone with a bolt on TA for an 8" rear?

How about an Airbar by Air Ride Technologies? Triangulated 4 link that should work just fine and its a bolt in!(I think)

well I have plans to back half the car in a year ot two (just got out of college and once I get loans paid off and an actual garage to work in then it is coming off the road and getting cut up bigtime....shold have loans pretty well paid off in another year) I have all the bits around except for the shocks and some steel (have most just need a couple hunk here and there)

I laid out a tri-4 bar for my sr design project (along with the back halfing, and a front end and all) so that will be going on the car once I get the space to really rip the car apart. I'll post some pics up tomorrow of what I have planned when I can use the scanner at work.

so if I have a 6' or so long subframe conector can I have a TA mount in the middle of that without any major bending moments? I was planning on some 1.0" x1.25" x.120" tubing for the subframes...kinda beefy but they are kinda long and only suported on the ends and will carry the load of my transmission mount and the TA forces)
