Well i just got back to school from spring break and i have the camaro going now. Cooling issues resolved, belt issues resolved etc..etc.. I drove it around probably 100+ miles in 2 days. It feels strong but not sure how "fast" it is. I did a little "testing" with a friend in his Z28 ls1 auto (in our area it's running 13.6) and from a roll it was dead even when we let off, me pulling initially and him gaining the slight pull i had back towards the end. It runs really well and is smooth as glass.

Might have a video up in a bit if the person hosting it can resolve the hosting problem.

Thanks for looking,
William

I dont have the video, he has it and the only one that works fully is the low res version and the high res is MUCH better. It starts and half way through it has an error...

William

Here is the low res for now:

Just a list of the small things would be, if using an old radiator, the thermostat side of the waterpump is the inlet, as opposed to being an outlet like it is on almost all conventional small chevys and how the helms manual says it's an outlet etc... (thermostat side goes to the bottom of the radiator!) If gutting the power steering so you can have the pulley for the serpentine setup remember to leave the snap ring in place on the waterpump shaft housing and if you dont use an external snap ring as opposed to an internal and make sure the snap ring fits inside the recess of the metal piece that sits on top of the waterpump shaft, remember to bleed the cooling system and besides that just make sure everything is grounded.

It went pretty smoothly and we'd say it took about 45 days of work and could have been done in less had the weather for 30 of those days not been 30 degrees in an unheated open garage...

William

Spoke with the hoster of my video and the highres will be available this afternoon.

The ls1 has free mods, lid, cat back and nittos. In our area it runs a 13.6

That LT1 sounds sweet at WOT. Glad to hear your problems are resolved Will.
I know you're not finished, what's next?

I'm really not sure what's next. I need to get the pro-comp speedo and tach and put those in, then maybe a full set of marquez stuff for it. Then start a little on the suspension. This car isn't going to be "full out" like a few of the awesome pro-touring cars on this site...that is being saved for my gf's convertible 69 she's planning. This one eventually will get a little better LT1, i'm thinking either a boosted LT1 or a 396 stroker.
