prior to to Sema theres was alot of talk about whos Mustang would kick ass etc
Now weve seen them which one did we like:

Me personally Alloways built Stang is just the smoothest awsome paint choices
other than BJ Cuda interior that would have to be the best iv seen in a musclecar, stance is killer wheels are timeless and 1 offs  love it :hail:

All are really nice cars. In my opinion Alloways is too much Street rod, the Obsidian car is my 2nd choice and Reactor is my 1st. You can tell the overwhelming amount of design that went into Reactor. The Ring bros should be proud of that one!

You would think with the popularity that Chrysler products have gotten that the top 4 would have been of the same mark. I am sure Ford is happy to get the needed recognition.

Love them all but I guess if I have to nit pick there just seams to be a lot of different textures and colors on the Ring car. It works but almost stands out instead of blends. Those orange hoses just pop too much for me. I can see they are taking it from the emblems but just too much for me.

Honestly they are all incredible works of art. You got to think can things get much better or more expensive??? After seeing them it makes really nice rides look like bolt on cars.

Alloways car is the wrong Color and it looks alot weird not alittle with the colors that way should be switched and possibly a darker blue amazing how a bad choice in color and design will make you walk right past it in a see of bad ass mustangs and have to say that Black one is amazing with capital letters, and the Silver and black next wow and this comming from a Chevy guy lol

I read your post and honestly I could not remember what you were talking about with the orange hoses. I looked at the car 4 different times and in person, you don't notice those hoses. There are several small places that they have painted orange, on the center caps, on the brake calipers. and the hoses there. It is very different in person, the flash I guess brought it out in the picture Steve took. All the vents on the hood and C Pillars are out of a single piece of billet, not layered. The car is amazing in person, and I am sure more pictures will show all the details. I have some, but will not get them posted up til I get back home tommorrow.

i will give my worthless opinion on the mustangs:

alloway car:
CONS: hate everything about it, paint choice, wheel choice, wheels and tires sit too far inboard, same as they do on the black challenger...overall...the car looks goofy.

PROS: the craftsmanship is 100% top notch, it looks as if no detail was overlooked.... just a bad design.

obsidian mustang:
CONS: the goofy hoodscoop/intercooler thing

PROS: the tastefull blend of new/old parts (ie...headlights) lots of thought in the design to where the car as a package "works"

silver/black mustang:
CONS: front bumper......just doesnt look "right"

PROS: everything else, i really like the car.

reactor mustang:
CONS: "reactor" theme, somebody has been watching too much OCC. the roll bar hoops look cheesy and outa place.

PROS: even though it has a "theme", they managed to make it "flow" throughout the car without jumping out too much. lack of "bling", the grey wheels give it a sinister purpose "look" and it works well with the green. by far probably the best ring bros car to date.

my personal choice would be the black and silver mustang....... i just like it.

i wasn't a fan of reactor at all. the roll bar thing and the reactor things all over kinda made me think 16 year olds honda. bad ass car no doubt, but didn't seem to flow for me. the black mustang with the funny hood was really nice. it was diffrent and they took a challenge building it and i think it was a real nice car minus the hood. the 2 tone one was really nice, but like was said the wheels sat to far inside the car. the ammount of carbon fiber and high dollar parts made it a real nice car to me. the floors being carbon and the clear floor in the back really set it off. but all said and done, i didn't really like stuff about all 3 of them. no offence to anyone, they could all out build me anyday, but thats all my opinion.

black and silver one got my vote, It need a little more sidewall on the tires though, all are works of art though! Sweet Cars

Thanks guys wish I had a little more time to finish it. will be done soon and on the streets. No one makes a taller tire size that would have been that wide for the car 305/25-19 to mate with the 345/25-20 rear sometimes we are limited by manufactures. the tires were really sunk into the carpet aswell doesnt look so bad on hard ground.

No need to appologize.. that car was bad-ass. Everyone is going to have something they would change or do different. If that wasn't the case all of our cars would look alike.. lol

I dug the interior on it.. I will post a pic I took tomorrow. Again, nice job.

this is exactly why i pointed out the pros/cons on all the examples, i usually try to find good points...even if i dont like the overall package. on the black and silver stang, i was "reaching" for a negative...because overall i really dig the whole car.

Race Rodz thanks alot, I was supposed to stay in Vegas and shoot for a bunch of magazines but wanted them to wait till i finish the car and can have it driving for the shoots. would have liked to have finished it for the SEMA show but did not want to compromise the car had to rush it to much as it was but really glad we made it to the show with it people really liked it and liked the fresh look. would have been nice to run for some of the awards but they said you can not win if the car is unfinished.

you built a awesome car hotrods. don't let anyone tell you diffrent. my question is about Obsidian tho. how did it shift? or was it all done on the screen?

hot rod, the car absolutely kicks a**. all the mustangs were amazing, but rosie stood out for several reasons. first for a relatively unknown guy the quality of your work and functionality of the car was reminicent of trepaniers work. i looked under the car and unlike most of the cars there , i saw a full smooth belly pan. the reactor is an amazing car too and ispent a long time admiring the workmanship there but i have to admit 500 hp just isnt exciting.i know some guys say its enough ,but i drive a 750 hp car and sometimes even at that i need more. also a 5 spd w/o overdrive is really limiting . the obsidian mustang is the only mustang that i saw that really compared ( looks, performance, engineering , etc).what a beautiful car. looks alittle like Kona from last year ( another beautiful ). overall best mustang imo goes to rosie -HANDS DOWN.

I would say Ring Bros won with reactor since they won the Ford award and another that slips me at the moment.

btw hotrod ,what kind of power do you expect rosie to put down? the rear diff is totally cool. final gears?

Rod, Rosie looks awesome. Congrats on getting her to the show, I can't wait to see it in person. All the stangs were nice, I liked the overall look of them all, IMHO The Reactor looked amazing.

we expect her to run 1000 plus on pump gas and as far as we want to go on fuel. it is a true quick change with 2:76 gears good for 230 and we can get any ratio we like. thanks for the great comments on the car. would have liked to have entered the race but was happy to be there, not finished so not allowed to win is what they said, I liked all the cars but have to say they were all so different that it was alot about taste and personal opinion. If someone liked one they didnt really like the others. well all I have to say is lets line them up in the new year and see who has got the best performance numbers since thats what they are all about. No disrespect to any of the other builders I loved the quality of their work but it is their style and mine is mine thats what is so great about all this.

I have to ask? What race is it that cannot have been entered without a finished car? I was not aware of this race. Didn't Bob's Cuda get a big award, and was not finished?

I thought Rosie's workmanship was very good, the theme, a bit over the top and maybe did not flow right for me, but that is personal taste. But Cudos to the craftsmanship.

Now this 230MPH stuff, I am not sure any sanctioning body will allow this attempt with all those ground and smoothed welds everywhere.

And I think I already said it somewhere else, Ring Bros, SMOTY!

JMHO!

11-07-2006, 05:09 PM
just out of curiosity, how much emphasis do the SMOTY awards put on performance? i honestly dont know . or do they care? could a car without the performance of a new vette win? or is function not important? just a question

btw hotrod . the previous post is correct. you didnt win the big prize. the car wasnt finished and as the previous post mentions the cuda last year wasnt finished and still won ( maybe implying youre making excuses). dont worry, you built a fantastic car. not every car can win the big show. dont worry about what others say,you cant beat yourself up for not finishing or winning. dont fall for the bait.there will always be those who want to rub it in

felix thanks man, the Mothers people came to me and said straight up we want to give you the shine award but have never given it to an unfinished car and if I bring it back next year they will give it to me hands down. They felt the car was the most original looking build that followed no on elses trends and build style, they came back 10 times and said they would have loved to give it to me. dont want to take anything away from the Ring Brothers I like them alot. thats why I didnt get into any of this. I was in the booth for the better part of the show and heard what people thoight of the car and that is all I really care about not awards the mass public is what counts not a couple of people making a decision about what they like and giving an award for it. Just my 2 cents and yes I am allowed to give them just like everyone else, I do not take offence to anyone not liking my build style as it is not for all people I might not like the stuff that others like and thats what is cool about it but making an oppinion is different than cramming what you like down peoples throats...............cant we all just say nice things or nothing at all. If I learned one thing about this is it is all in the PR machine whether you strike it big in this whole thing or not. If you can get your build pics in every issue of PHR before it is finished then Debute it at SEMA it is a guaranteed famous ride. again my 2 cents well maybe 1.5 cents

They must have been trying to make you feel better. You don't honestly believe that they are just going to hand you the trophy next year, with this years car??

Your car is extremely nice, but I think you just have to have the car finished.

would have loved to have finished the car but was just to many hours in the car, we painted the car less than a week before we left for the show. it is still the only true flat bellied car I have ever seen there or anywhere, the Cuda used rivetted on pans like every other car I have seen. Every body panel has been modified as has every window opening. I have to say that everyone has tried to do the flush glass treatment and I think we are the only ones that have actually got it right. I dont expect them to hand me anything I am only saying what they told us and no I dont think they were trying to just make me feel better I feel that my car is deserving of it. Lowest actual ride height, widest tires, 1100 + HP, 6 speed, independent diff, guarantee it will pull the highest G of all the mustangs, drive by wire, traction control, on board PC with real time data, true flat bellied and painted base clear on bottom of car, real safety glass floor.
