Personnally...Yeah, too much. Its not a Camaro anymore.(flares, spoilers, tonneau etc...)

I tend to like the hood tough. Would be nice to see it closed. I LOVE the Ring's Bro's Mustang and ....The hood. I was trying to come up with something as bad in a GM line up for my car. That yellow hood is an idea.

Me 2 pennies.

JohnnyGMachine

As far as a styling execution, the car really is a little over exaggerated. It looks like a 1:1 scale Jada car - if that's what you want to drive. The details are very large and in your face. Now the original old school Motion cars were kinda like that back in the day with the side pipes, big hood scoop and rear spoilers and huge rear tires. I think the idea behind the car is great just the design execution is a little over the top to the point it gets a little toyish. I do like the fact that the rear wheels dish in nicely and the stance is killer. I'm also glad that they nixed the chicken wire mesh out back at the bottom center of the bumper. I think the "floating" hood look is pretty trick but the hinges kinda get into the way of seeing that gorgeous engine, they are a little distracting.
These are just my opinions, so I didn't post to create a fuss. When I critique something I also like to try and keep it positive and point out the things i like as well. I think when we all post our thoughts and opinions on other peoples work I think it is important that whether a company or just a guy building a car in his garage at home that we need to be positive and supportive. Give positive criticism, maybe give a suggestion? I think for the most part we all do, there's a lot of great guys on here and it was great to see everybody at the dinner Wednesday nite!

Just my thoughts,
John

I know exactly which car is the ring bros. mustang. Reactor, the one with the silly Rad-hazard symbols on the pedals and the street rod lookin interior. I voiced my opinion, genius. My opinion is that it is ugly. Apparently other people have different opinions (wow, imagine that) and they are equally entitled to have them and voice them.

The interior of my car is imaterial and if I recall correctly, not a subject involved in the discussion. My car is not at SEMA and therefore not subject to public scrutiny and......opinion. The ring bros. car is.

In looking at the post below it seems "Tracy Weaver" may have had something to do with that car. Well if I hurt your little feelings, grow up. When you put your work out in the public eye you open it for scrutiny and commentary. Some will like it, others will not. I fall into the latter group.

That's the way it goes. The craftsmanship and execution look to be top-notch. I just think the design and materials are awful.

As for attacking people based on their opinion.....super professional of you. Bravo!

It's one thing to post your opinion about how you don't care for something, but it's another to be a troll and post to start a flame war. All opinions are welcome, obviously everyone's cars are built for different needs and goals. It's sad that I need to explain that to you.

Quit acting like a 13 year old. Consider this your warning.

Imo all of these mustangs are way over the top and no longer even look like cars. That red Cuda IMO is pure badass and is what a muscle car should look like. However its pretty obvious that these builders are just showing what they can do, its like a canvas for their art. Its just a sculpture now, no longer even really a car.

Having that said, the interior is nice, but the reactor signs on the pedals and guages are tacky and so are the invidual rollbars. But I really like the clean simple dash and console.

And to the people who think that someone dissing a car like this just must be jealous because they can't afford it is pretty ignorant and to imply that is quite arrogant too IMO, its like super hot models. We all critique hot chicks from the internet, playboy etc, knowing that we could never have them, but we still do it because they are purposely showing themselves. Of course we would take much less in real life, just like cars. But when you're looking at the best of the best its easy to be a critic

I agree. You WILL NOT meet a nicer group of guys than the Ring Brothers. They are extremely talented, and very humble. I can understand and respect differing opinions, and you can state your view but there will be no bashing of these guys on this site.

I thought the interior was very nice and well thought out. It had an OEM look to it. About all I didn't like was the coating on the roll bars (too shiny, should have been brushed nickle like the wheels) and the "reactor symbols in orange on the pedals (should have just been ball milled into them, but I get the idea of having a "theme"

The orange engine hoses look better in person than in pics (not as bright).. Overall the car is very nice and a step up from Kona. Also, the Rings are some of the nicest most humble people I have ever met.

Congrats on all their awards..

And, what the hell is a "street rod" interior??? God, I hate lables..

This Mustang was really nice also. It belongs to the owner of the company I work for. He didn't get an award, but was asked to take his Mustang to the Hot Rod Awards Banquet on Wednsday Night. It was there with the Black 68 Dart from Time Machines, and a red 32 from Grenning's Shop. He had a table availiable and he asked me to go with him hense why I couldn't make the Lateral-g dinner. He signs my pay check, I had to go.

I love those. Simple yet trick. If I had an LSx motor, they'd be on it.

I'm with you Scott. If I had one of the LS engines I would just send my bank account numbers to ATS to cover all the new stuff that they have now as well as the stuff they already have. Great job ATS.

being im from Omaha i can tell you first hand tracy is hard to deal with. when i asked him to do the interior in my car his reply to me was, son, if you have to ask it isn't worth either of our time for me to reply to you. take it how you want. :) he does awesome work though.
I'm very easy to deal with,i have a long list of people waiting, for good work not cheap work,it all has to do with how you aproach me. also i've never said that kind of crap to you,get it right before you start your quote.I do know you. some people don't like to wait or pay the price it takes to get a nice job.i go out of my way for the guys who don,t have100,000 in there cars. There the one's who make this business, not the guy who comes in the shop with the attitude.I do alot of pro built cars for a lot builders and charge time and materials, were not cheap and if that comes off as hard to deal with ,go for it,thats my way.It works for me , sorry if your offended

We have had a relationship with Tracy now for about 4 years and he has been nothing but a professional. This is a business for him and he has to treat it that way. He has a very professional way of doing his work and sometimes that does not make everyone happy, but there is only so much time in a day and year. He will do any interior for anyone that wants a truly professional job done, you just have to plan ahead and make an appointment. I am glad to see he did really well in Vegas they deserve it.

First I'd like to thank Scott for considering and accepting my request to lift the ban on my account. Cooler heads (Scott's I assume) prevailed when this was getting out of hand and now that things have cooled off, I would like to clarify.

First and foremost I want apologize to everyone for the tone of my initial statement regarding the Ring Bros. Mustang. I voiced my opinion in an impassioned way and that clearly put some people off.

Second, let me say that this years Ring Bros. car is a spectacular piece of work. Last years car was IMO one of the best looking Mustangs I have ever seen. I would have gone a different way with the suspension, but the visual side of the car was just stunning.

This year's car was outstanding as well and as I said earlier the craftsmanship was amazing. However, I didn't care for the interior. Simply a matter of taste and again, though well excecuted, the design did not suit my taste.

Thanks for the apology, you didn't offend me but it's good to know that you goofed, and will admit it. I am sure you didn't mean to offend, typing instead of comunicating face to face leaves out so much of what is being said. It makes it easy for someone to get their feathers ruffled when the offender didn't mean to ruffle anything! Then, to make matters worse, it's just human nature to defend yourself, frequently because the one you offended is also typing and so you don't realize you offended them and it appears they're just being obstinate. Next thing you know, a nuclear war has broken out and Andorra has invaded Canada for their goose down rights!

Anyway, thanks again for the apology!

No problems here Point taken. taste in design is diffrent, for diffrent people.
