Just completed and dynoed today!! pump gas street motor, 710HP!!!! no juice, no blower, no supercharger, all motor!! all pulls were on chevron 93 octane. Here is a short list of the parts used: Donovan, nascar sb2.2 heads, Cola crank, Lunati rods, Bullet roller cam, je pistons, jesel shaft rockers, etc... heads/rockers were used for one or two races and the donovan had very few street miles on it and was like new.... all of the other parts were brand new. pro built www.rebirdraceengines.com .
this was my personal engine for my pro touring 69 camaro (car in avitar) but i just recently sold the car (miss it big time!). this motor is not for everyone because it is a high end piece but it will certainly elevate any nice pro touring car to the next level. i can virtually guarantee that you will not park next to another car at your local show with an engine like this. nascar meets pro touring!!! will it get good gas mileage? doubt it.... will it scare women and children? absolutely!! please email me if you are in the market and thanks for reading my listing. $15,900 tracy rebird race engines

Tell me more about the engine.

Where does it make it's power?
How much maintenance to keep it running?
Will it fit under a stock cowl hood? (69 Camaro)
How heavy is it?
Can this horsepower be made using a LS-2 or LS-7?
Is it really possible to drive it on the street or around a Road type track without having to struggle to keep it under control?

This should help answers some questions.

Of course it doesn't, its SB2 based. Splayed valve heads need non-standard valve covers.

Good luck with the sale. That is an incredible engine, and for the price not bad, considering the kind of parts that are on it. Would make a great engine for some of the high dollar pro-touring ride around here. Can you give out the cam specs?

(69 Camaro): i had full intentions of running this under my stock cowl hood on my 69 camaro. this thing will fit in just about anything that you can get a normal sbc in, just a bit taller. it currently has a 1" spacer so of course that could be removed for even more clearance. i have a 240z that would love this engine and should fit with no issues with the addition of a small cowl hood..... Where does it make power?: EVERYWHERE!! ha ha...i started the pulls at 4500 rpm (should have started them much lower) and it was already making over 450hp!! at 5500 rpm, it was making 625hp, 6000 rpm was 675hp, 6500 rpm was over 700hp. from 6500 rpm to 7100 rpm, the power was about the same with multiple peaks. torque never dropped below 500 pounds for the entire pull!! the power is very flat and broad. this motor is a "short shifters" dream. big power at low rpm's. the motor could make quite a bit more power with a dominator but i built this for a weekend cruiser, not racing.... How much maintenance to keep it running?: these are nascar grade parts, you should have no problems as long as you have a good cooling system, run the right octane and i would hook up the spring oilers in the valve covers which will keep the valve springs happy with a long life..... How much does it weigh?: i did not weigh it but it is very light according to my muscle metter. ha ha.. i think the donovan block knocks off nearly 100 pounds (someone correct me if i'm wrong) over a dart cast iron block..... Is it really possible to drive it on the street or around a Road type track without having to struggle to keep it under control?: sure. this is a strong engine and like my ad says, not for everyone, but i wanted my pro touring car to stand out at the shows and on the street so i built what i thought was the best. sorry so long but i thought he had some good questions. thanks

A couple questions I had, that may help sell too.
Does it use the same Flywheel as a SBC?
One piece or two piece rear seal?
Will regular SBC accessories bolt to the front of this motor?

Very cool looking motor for sure, certainly be the only one on my block. :thumbsup:

thanks bill, it does use a normal sbc flywheel and it is a normal two piece rear seal. there are three accessory holes on each head and they look to be identical to a sbc head. it sounded awesome on the dyno and it should make someone real proud to own it. thanks again

so what is the torque curve like? starts at 4500rpm?? So we need a 6000rpm stall if we run an automatic?

I will try to post the dyno sheet (i don't have a scanner so it is a pic). as you can see from the dyno sheet, the torque curve is very flat and would also make big torque down low. i was not trying to hide the torque figures down low, that is just the way i pulled the motor. obviously you are joking on the 6000 stall but i always recommend calling the tech line for your converter of choice. the more torque you make, the tighter the converter can be on the street and this small block makes big block torque. thanks for the questions.
