Yep, it was there for sure. My dad was there. He told me they were calling bids around $125k but he was not positive that they had real money.

I saw it at Mecum, didn't sell when it went through.
Lots of cars didn't sell. High reserves not met, not much serious bidding action. Too many people expecting BJ prices?

Did anyone see the black 66-67 chevelle convertible done in all black , black top , black wheels. I think it has a 572 in it and had 22x10s on the rear and 19"s on the front.

If so I would love to see some pics of it !!

I've seen that '67 before. Nice car.

My parents were at the auction, they said it sold for $67k.

I thought it might have gone for more.

The car I don't get is this one,

http://www.mecumauctions.com/auctions/lot_detail.html?LOT_ID=CH1006-42352

My parents said they've seen it go through Mecum Belvidere twice, and Mecum St. Charles once. Everytime around the $250k range...

I've seen the car in person, super super nice, but $250k?????? Hmmm... :captain:

Get in line, David!! I know there are alot of new cars that will be rolling out, but I'm thinking this is going to be the car of the show of SEMA 2006, like Johnson's Cuda was last year.

KONA...has been sold. I just delivered the car today to it's new owner. All I can say is it went to a very good home and if you saw the garage you would simply drop your jaw...

4 Boss 429's
2 67 Shelbys
1 68 KR Shelby
4 Hemi Cudas
Among others....simply amazing actually.

The 250K Chevelle.....it's been to Mecum twice and no real bids on the car. $200K was just fishing.

Watch for Reactor....I will see it on Sunday or Monday. It's wild.

KONA is still breathtaking. Backing it out of the trailer never gets tiring.
