Hey All,

My name is Chad and I am new to the forum. I posted the question about Shay's 69. I have been in touch so thanks all. I have a new question. I came across a 69 Camaro for sale. It is billed as an ss350. I currently have a 69 that I have had for 20 years. Therefore I am way out of touch as far as values. I will post the picture that I have of the car 4-sale. It has a rebuilt 350 (no details) and a power glide. The car has been repainted and rdetailed, but not a frame off. I am going to look at it in a day or so. I know this is not much detail, but any ideas what it might be worth. Looks good in the picture BUT! I'm not sure if it is numbers matching or not, I don't much care. It will be a winter project to give a bit of the G machine treatment and sell next summer. Thanks for any info.

Chad

Well my father-in-law just sold his 68 SS with a 454, Muncie 4-speed for $40K. So with the small block and an automatic, I would say maybe in the $15-25K. Obviously dependant on the bodywork, drivetrain and interior conditions. But the small block and the auto will keep the price down. But also keep in mind that a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Search some of the online dealers and see what they are listing them for.

well i believe would check if it is a real SS they usually didnt come with a Powerglide. But I could be wrong. I always thought the usually came with a TH350. But if originality isnt what you worried about I would say between 17K-22K or so.

Thanks guys. Sorry I havn't closed the loop on this. I just returned from a week in Germany on bus. I saw the car just before I left. the picture was not a good representation. The paint was shiny but that was it. It had a ton a filler and rust ready to come back through. The engine was rebuilt but leaking like a harley. I'm not sure about the origianality. The VIN checks out to be a V8 coupe, but there is no X code. It has 711 on the cowel tag where the "X" code normally is. I have not had time to research this. I could have got it for 15K, but the body was real bad and the interior was shot completely. So I passed. If anyone is interested, I can give you the contact info. Thanks again.
