Been off the site for quite a while, but I started a new project. It’s not a G machine by no means and I had no intention of making it real nice, but I ended up going farther than I anticipated. I’ve had a weird attraction to the trailblazer SS especially the lowered ones and I thought one might look cool as a pickup. So here goes.

I never planned on posting this project and I’m embarrassed that I have no pics of building the rear frame. Lowering the trailblazer causes geometry issues with both the front and rear suspension so in the rear I made new mounting points on the axle to keep the radius rods more happy. In the front I raised all the inner pivot points to eliminate the excessive control arm angles from the lowering.

OMG making it a pickup. That's wild. Can't wait to see more.

This is cool. Trailblazers are great vehicles. The 4.2 is a hugely overlooked engine.

Best of luck with the build. I can't say I have ever seen a truck version.

Got the frame powder coated. The first pic you can see where I raised the upper a-frame mount. The second you can see how I about ran out of space, notice the lower a-frame just clears the swaybar. The last shows the mounting point of the rack, you can make out half of the original mounting hole. Sorry, the last pic is rotated.

I rotated the pic, let me know if it's upside down (I can't tell lol).

In the front I’m using Belltech shocks and springs, one of the few companies that offer for the trailblazer. In the back I contacted Viking and they specked a shock/spring package that fit my measurements. I’m using reproduction SS wheels, they’re 20x8.
