Okay, ever find yourself at the drill press with over 400 drill bits
which are ALL DULL?
I routinely drill stainless, mostly 1/2” diameter and smaller.
Please share any advice or tips regarding sharpening drill bits.
Anything you can.
I know there are jigs, grinders, etc..,
But what do YOU recommend?
I welcome anything you share.

I us the Drill Doctor and have had great success. I don't try to sharpen any bits smaller than 3/16".

Well, I ended up buying a “Drill Doctor”. It works great. Even greater tho, is that my daughter is using it to sharpen my 400+ drill bits for my birthday present. It just don’t get no better!

stainless needs to be sharpened at a different angle than what you would want for mild steel 135 ish degrees for S.S. mild steel 120 ish . Also use cutting fluid lots of pressure on the bit and a slower drill speed
