Followed this build elsewhere & everything was done top-notch. I'll follow along here as well to see about the few more recent changes that have been made.

I'm trying to talk myself out of LS swapping my C10. This isn't helping, lol. What a gorgeous truck. Welcome to the site. Can you share what you're planning to do with the next one?

Go ahead and swap it! if your like me you'll end up doing it later anyways. Plans for the next one right now is a LSX block low compression/ 4L85 swap. i plan to rebuild the chassis, install all new drivetrain and leave the body paint for later on. we will see if i can stick to my plan.

Very nice!! Are you kidding?! We love trucks over here. I mean, who doesn't love a square body?!

What method did you go with to utilize both fuel tanks? Would you do it again in the same manner?

My problem is time really. I'd love to LS swap the truck, but I fear it would take me a couple years to complete. At this point, I'd rather get the 305 running better and put the money into better wheels and a rear suspension change. We'll see what happens.

I used both tanks as the OE did for years but had the tank valve failing all the time. The valve doesn’t seem to like todays fuels. Now I have the pass. Tank as my primary tank and use the drivers tank to fill the pass tank if need by a simple toggle switch.

Couple of my favorite pictures, I love paint work so seeing the buffed finish is exciting.

Next is a set of OE truck manifolds that a friend and myself modified to fit and had coated

Thanks! I was considering doing the same as I also worried about the factory switching valve. However, I learned some people have run twin, independent setups and switch between tanks electrically only. They use check valves to keep the fuel from back feeding into the other tank instead of going to the engine. I may go that route if I ever get there.
