Blackbird SR-71, a blacked out 1971 Firebird in flat black, with
19 and 20 inch Pontiac Ralleyes from Wheel Vintiques, in black steel, powered by a 500 hp cammed and warmed over GTO LS2, and a six speed. Maybe even a turbo thrown in for good measure to take it up over 700.

I picture it with all black, with several coates of matt clear, to get a unique finish, accented only by redline lo-pro tires and red pontiac logos, maybe a gloss bird on the hood. I'd also like to see a black steel finish on a LSX aftermarket metal intake to match the wheels.

Anyone want to finance this project ?

Oh well maybe when I am done with my current rendering projects I will make a rendering of this.

Sounds like a tough car. I would love to see an artist's rendering.
Will it go mach 5 though?? :hail:

well, it theoretically could, if I swap out the engine for a rolls royce turbine, and design it into the shape of a bullet, add wings and take out 99% of the things that would make it a car.

:P

I'd think it would need the twin turbo to give the "drivetrain" the look of the twin turbines. That's a great Idea, good stuff!

stick the turbos up into a bump in the hood and radius the hood at the turbo inlet to look like the opening of a turbine.

then you could even airbrush rivets around all the body panels etc... to give it that aircraft look and even do a pinup girl on the side like they did back in the day on fighter planes.
