First I want to thank SW (He's a Fikse dealer) for being such a great guy and really helping this purchase go well! I owe you a beer or two at SEMA!!!

Ok, what did I get? Fikse Profil 10's w/ Race Black centers. I can't tell you how nice and light these wheels are, quality at it's finest...well worth every penny!! I also dealt with Travis at Fikse since we really wanted to push the envelope on the fitment and get the stance just right...I must have mocked up and measured 14 times!! We ended up with these specs:

18x9 w/ 5.625" b.s.
18x11.5 w/ 5.625" b.s.

I've had the tires for a couple months now and should have them mounted on the wheels soon, oh yeah, thanks Scott for the front tires...glad we could help eachother out!!

315/30/18 Pilot Sports

Some of you may remember that I had Intro Pentias on the car before but I thought they didn't go well with the racier, street fighter feel the car has taken on in the last year or so...so they were sold to a PT.com member and this package was ordered. Also, I grew fond of the black anodized wheels and felt it was just right for this car. The car will most likely be silver and I already have the black interior...I think it will all work well together and give me the classy yet tuff look I'm going for with this build....

I'll post more pics once I mount the tires and get it back on the ground...man I can hardly wait!!!! :unibrow:

I was pretty nervous ordering them since many people don't like the darker wheels, but I'm glad I went with what I thought would look good....I love them!! :D

Plus One Motorsports is the name of the local dealer...they are the shop to go to if you want hi-end wheels.....I took them there since I didn't trust anyone else!! :)

nice too see someone without the usual profil5's these days. So did you throw away the boxes and burn all the reciepts and bills before the wife saw?

Anthony, I'm having trouble picking wheels, what do you think looks better, traditional lip style like yours or the fat lip design, with all the wheels on the market, I don't know, I like the Forgelines, Kinesis, Fiskes, but I'm worried I might get sick of the bolts in the F/L and Kinesis, looking for a little smoother look, :willy:

Steve, I have had both style lips on this car now and I have to say I like the standard lip better, it gives it more of a performance look and my plan was to go timeless with this build so it works. I do however like the Fat Lip wheels on a build that is more of a resto-mod cruiser, mine is just a little too edgy for that look, that's why I sold the Intro's.

I have to say that after weeks (literaly) of looking at pics of darker 3 piece wheels...especially on silver cars, my wife made the final decision to go with Fikse as she likes the clean look with the hidden hardware. I was on the fence between the Profil 10's and Forgelines, she nocked me off and over to the Fikse side, and let me tell you I'm glad she did as they are nice wheels!!

I'm sure Forgelines are just as nice and I would be happy with them, but I'm a less is more (except for hp) kinda guy and really do like the clean looks of Fikse wheels...it's up to you though. :)

Dont forget about Simmons wheels, Group A (http://www.groupawheels.com/) has good pricing, I almost ordered the Alta in Charcoal Grey. I think this wheel would look hot on a first gen!! Check out the Porsche in their gallery!!

LMAO!!

Actually, she had to sign the check since they forgot to add my name to the checks before printing them, which doesn't make since since it's my account that I added her to...oh well!! She said she didn't care how much they cost as long as I was ok with spending my 'paint job' money on wheels. It truely is my money though, from side jobs and the sale of the old wheels/tires....time to start saving for paint again!!! :D

Thanks again guys for all the kind words...I still find myself out in the garage just staring at the car, it finally sports the agressive look I wanted all along!!!
