Multi process welder recommendations

I've been using a Hobart Handler 135 110v MIG welder for quite some time now and want to step up to something 220v capable of welding up to about 3/8" and looking to add TIG to the mix. I'm looking to spend around $1000 give or take a $100 to $200. This one has caught my eye https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...Q3KRZQB6&psc=1 but not necessarily married to the brand and would like your guys experience with any decent brand.

My 2 cents.
I think for your budget, this a good choice. The warranty looks pretty good.

You will also need another bottle of gas and regulator/flow meter for TIG. You may already be using solid wire for your welder now, but if not, you will need another bottle of gas for that too.

I'm already set up with a bottle with solid wire so it would be just a matter of adding on for the TIG.

you will need another bottle for the tig welder, you should be running 100% argon on the tig. mig welder should be 75/25 argon/c02

TIG requires pure Argon. Typically MIG uses argon/CO2 mix or straight CO2. One issue with the TIG you show is the lack of a foot pedal and it probably doesn’t have high frequency start and is DC only so you can’t do aluminum. I think you would be better off with a dedicated TIG machine and a dedicated MIG machine. You are probably going to need to spend at least $1600 for a TIG box and another grand on accessories.

I realize I need a second bottle for the TIG. I already have a bottle of 75/25 for the MIG.

Go a step up to AC/DC so that you can tig aluminum. You have to go pure Argon for DC tig on steel anyways.......might as well be able to AC tig.
Have you priced Lincoln/Miller? I'm guessing $800 more than the Hobart.
Definitely go pedal, tig torch buttons are way too far rearward to keep accurate arc gap especially for entry level folks.

The Hobart I posted is at the top end of my budget as it is. If you have a suggestion in that price range I'm all ears. I just want to be able to weld thicker steel than what I'm now capable of and at least get started welding steel with TIG.

these two would be a better option. having the foot pedal will be much easier to use to learn with. I also prefer using the foot pedal but some people like the finger trigger.
