Coming from the construction industry we are familiar with engineering as we go. large projects don't have the engineering completed before we start the job.
As I build the Transcona Cougar I also occasionally run into these situations.
My problem is the use of a 1995 ford truck power steering pump with a C-6 corvette rack and pinion setup.
While my enquiry is specific there are probably those of us who have used the OLD style pumps with modern racks. What did you do to change pressures and tailor them to an R+P setup? If you have specifically used a ford pump all the better.

You want to find out what that rack and pinion uses for flow and pressure (pump ratings) as a baseline. Be aware other things can impact flow/pressure requirements like having wider tires, large scrub radius etc. To get exactly the right steering feel often takes some tuning or experimentation. The KRC pumps have some flow rate adjustability.

Good luck

Thank you for responding. The reason for the ford pump has a lot to do with maintaining the stock underhood appearance. As much as you can with a roll cage and the forward bars in the engine compartment.
