I assume your talking about Jeff Dupont's car that SW has for sale? Or did he already sell it?

Really really nice car but I’m struggling with how that is a $235K car.

One hell of a car and I mean no disrespect to it. Glad to see the classic cars bringing top dollar. Make me want to sell my car so I can buy a ski house.

Bet it has $100k in parts before any work was done to it. Car can't be duplicated for $235k in today's market and anything nice right now is stupid. Just look at the Corvettes that sold at Mecum couple weeks ago.

Car was built about a mile from my house. I seen it while it was being built and since it's been complete. I was on the list to get my car into the shop that built it.. but he got a fleet of cars from a collection and was booking out 2 years..
Let me say this up front.. the craftsmanship is world class.. seriously.. its damn near perfect execution.
That said... I could never see spending > 200k on a camaro that is not a collectable like a ZL1 or big Red or the Mule... (ps the mule sold for much less)
Also worth thinking about.. the people who made the $$ on this car.. the builder and the reseller.. and the auction house.. $$$$$$$...
Two lessons to reflect on.. you can by a done car for 1/2 of the build cost easily... (but what fun is that)
Be wary of non functional "nice to have's" it leads to spending an extra 100k on useless fabrication costs that you wont ever recover.
