I have a T56 magnum paired with an LS7 clutch and LS3 with cam upgrades in my 1969 Camaro and looking to replace the stock shifter while everything is out. The stock shifter is leaking and is a little sloppy.

I have seen older posts with some shifter suggestions but wondering if anyone has any fresh ideas and experience with what is currently available.

I have talked to Bowler about theirs and it sounds like they have fixed the leaking issues. I am also looking at the Hurst Blackjack and American Powertrain White Lightning. If you have any experience with shifters that don't leak and feel great I would love to hear about them. Thanks in advance!

I have bowler and it’s working great. Shifts feel tight and what I was most worried about, NO LEAKS.

I have a White Lightning shifter from American Powertrain on my T56 Magnum and like it a lot. No leaks after four years and 5,000 miles.

Thanks! I ended up ordering a Bowler and will circle back once the LS swap is complete and I've been able to use it for a while.

Looks like I need to order the Bowler one and have it readily available.

Has anyone used Silver States SST STX shifter? I ran one on my T56 and didn’t have any issues with it. Decent shifting, but I don’t have much to compare it to. Would greatly appreciate any feedback or reviews.

my stock t56 shifter was leaking and went with the hurst blackjack... still experienced leaks with the blackjack and even after Hurst sent me a replacement under warranty I still had the same leak via the inner boot of shaft of the blackjack. I tried replacing the vent cap (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ado-19206216), but still seeing the leak, so going to try installing a simple filter vent and see if the lack of back pressure will stop the shifter leak. Frustrating...

Yikes. I almost went with the Blackjack shifter. Hopefully the Bowler is the answer we have all been looking for!

The Hurst technical support said he'd never heard of an issue with leaking, so that's why I'm chasing the venting. Starting to wonder if I should try blowing compressed air through the vent and remove the filler bolt to see if the vent is blocked.
