Hey everyone, I'm having some difficulty figuring out what I'm not doing correctly in Performance Trends Suspension Analyzer program. I've been playing around in the free download software in an attempt to design custom suspension for my 66 Mustang. The plan is a coilover front end with a 3-link and Panhard in the rear. I got the front end close to what I think will be a good setup (I'll post the results for your review and critique in another thread), but when designing the 3-link rear, somehow it kicks out a calculation of the roll center height being -422.7. No matter what I input values I change it never deviates. I'm posting screen shots of all the rear end values and hoping someone knows what I've done wrong. This is the first time I've tried posting pictures so bear with me. If they're too unclear or not large enough to read, I've attached a PDF of all the values. Thanks in advance!

Be careful when using demo versions of software. Nothing is free. Sometimes the company will disable features or handicap the software. The demos are for showing how the software works, not for 100 percent actual calculations. I input all the same numbers in my purchased version and it comes up with a roll center height of 8 inches. Right where your panhard bar is mounted.

Make sure your dimensions are entered for the correct end of the links. Click on the link in the diagram and it will highlight the cell where the data is entered. Verify that the end you clicked on is the correct end of the link.

that's cool and all but you can get those numbers with a pencil and a piece of paper. draw your pickup points in 1/2 scale and project the lines and measure the roll center. doing rear 3 link rear suspension is no big deal.

I would guess it may be the horizontal panhard bar coordinates and the overall low relative position. The right side in SA is supposed to attach to the frame rail which I would think is much higher than 8 inches?
