Blinker Issue

Background:

Just installed a new Ron Francis 24/7 wiring harness. Replaced the front turn signal sockets with new sockets (not just the spring and pins), extra ground from the socket to the grounding backbone, Super-Brite LED 1157 amber bulbs, new headlight switch, rear tail lights are Digi-Tails full panel replacement LED lights.

What works: Headlights work fine; front marker lights work fine; rear tail lights work fine; rear brake lights work fine

What doesn't work: turn signals... If I engage a turn signal, both the front and rear lights on that side light up but do not blink. Both the left and right side does this.

What I've tried: three different LED rated flashers, swapping the flasher fuse and relay, no changes

What I need: Any hints on where to start troubleshooting next?

I would say check to make sure you have a good ground and in some cases I have seen/heard/read about needing a resistor of some sort with the LED lighting in automotive applications.

I just went through this with my digitails. My turn signal would work but the 4 way flasher wouldn’t blink (only come on steady). I called Digitails and this is what they told me to troubleshoot. I knew my wiring (including grounds) was good. Take a test light (looks like a pick with a bulb in handle with a wire with alligator clip on end of wire coming from handle) and connect the ground clip to a ground and put the test light tool point in the wire circuit that is the issue. The bulb in the test light puts enough of a load and everything worked correctly again. If the test light fixes your issue go to Amazon and buy a couple of these. I added one on each side (rear flasher wire), (one end of the load resistor ties into the circuit/other end is grounded).

Turns out the solution was to swap the polarity of the flasher. Just used some jumper wires for now, but have a disk type polarity changer coming off of Amazon that will make for a clean installation

Mine was solved with a LED flasher module...
