Coil over trouble JRS suspension.

Front suspend = JRS apex C6 based suspension.
Qa1 Coliovers:

When i take the weight off the wheel and allow the suspension to hang he upper arm hits the spring unless I screw the lower spring adjuster on the coil-over almost all the way up which make the ride height too high.
if I try to lower the spring adjuster down, to get the right hight down.. the spring will unseat less then half of the way down the adjustment, it will sit once i put weight on it but that seems wrong..
I wouldn't be shocked to hear I need different springs.. smaller diameter or fee length.

That's a common issue with the C5/6 based subframes like AME, JRS, etc.

I let mine unload when jacking it up, and don't worry about it since it never fully unloads on the street or track, thanks to the sway bar. On Ron Myers' Camaro we used "helper," or "keeper"springs to make sure the coil springs wouldn't unseat at full droop.

yes, however, I prefer either the Hypercoil or Eibach helper springs, they have thinner, flatter coils, and have less compressed height. I also used the Eibach spring couplers because they're lower profile than the others I've found.

I also used those Eibach helper springs on my first Art Morrison subframe. Haven’t needed them on my latest one. It still has Corvette arms but the springs are a higher rate, 550 if I remember right.

They nylon slider is glass filled and the shoulder keeps the helper from fully bottoming out. (it is the short one in the picture) Nylon will not mare up the coilover body like the aluminum ones can. The spring is light enough to compress with one hand while changing springs.
