Hi
I have recently ordered Digi-Tails LED parking light for my 68 camaro. I have realized that the LED circuit board supplied by digitails look different than the what i advertised and the installation instructions came with the kit are for the older deign.

As per Digitails, the design has been revised for better sealing and the board design is smaller compared to the older one.

My concern is that if any vendor revisit the design of their products, I believe they should also need to update their installation instructions.

I am having a bit of difficulties on how to center and align the LED board within the light housing.

Would appreciate if anyone has recently purchased the new design of LED boards and could share some photos

I don't have any photos for you, but the RS setup I installed in mine was pretty simple and straight forward. Took all of about 20 min.

I was thinking the same thing. By far a very easy mod.

At the beginning I was having some difficulties to center and align the LED board within light housing due to smaller size boards compared to the previous design, but yesterday I got it all figured out.

However, when I wired up the parking lights, the little green indicators for the turn signals/hazard on the classic instruments cluster come on and stay on when the parking light is turned on. When I turn the hazards or the turn signals on, the dash indicators blink at a higher intensity like the parking lights. It is strange.

I did replace both the flashers with LED flashers and not sure why this is happening.

This phenomena happened just when I had installed Digi-Tails parking lights.

Thanks for the offer Randy but I live on the other side of the world. Just an update on what I am planning to do and what I have done so far:

I received my new parking light gaskets ( rubber type). Even though Digi-Tails claimed that the LED board design had been improved to a smaller board to prevent the gasket from covering/blocking some of the LEDs around the board boundary. Unfortunately, this is not true because I had to trim the part of the gasket that blocked the LEDs.

Digi-Tails customer service sucks as well. They responded only once to my queries , and have not heard from them regarding other queries.

Regarding the indicators on the gauge cluster, I am awaiting the LED flashers with ground wires and see the results afterwards.

I wish I had bought a good quality LED bulbs instead of going though the hassles with Digi-Tails

Do you have any pics? I have digitalis in the front and rear of my car.

So before they used to extend all the way out to the screw holes. Now they just kinda float. The rear sucks too because it is so far off center it makes it hard to move them around. And finally when I put the gasket on it blocks a whole row of leds.

Can you wrap the gasket around it? Would that hold it?

Waiting to hear back from digitails after a call and an email but I may mount them to the lens. Anyone think this would be an issue?

That looks good, almost as if it was designed for that exact placement in the installation. Hopefully the light looks good through the lens when the LED’s are touching it.

Please post the results.

You could put clear silicone on the sides and top and bottom to hold it in on the back side. I'm not talking about a lot, but like a dab in 4 spots.

They sell little 1/4" or a little thinner bumpers for cabinet doors, I think they have them in clear too. Hardware stores or even Walmart had the. you could stick them to the front of the board and place the board in the lens. Maybe a tiny piece of double stick tape or something else to hold the gasket where you need it on the housing.

I think I am gonna go this route. I am hoping some one from Digitails actually returns a call or emai.

Hope all is well with you Wayne!
