DO IT!!! Great watch!!!

Alex *son* and I are in to watches.... in our own minor little way....

I first got a Baume Mercier for a wedding gift from my loverly bride in 1979 -- then got a Submariner (two tone blue bezel and face) in 1989 when we were in St Thomas scuba diving for our 10th anniversary -- Then an all gold version (blue face/bezel) for our 20th in 1999 -- then a Linde Werdelin SpidoSpeed Carbon Green for Xmas this year (my everyday "rubber" watch) - and this new one for my 65th B'day.... I've wanted the Yacht-Master for a long time - but while I'll buy myself a new engine at the drop of the hat -- I'm not good at "self gifting" stuff -- so I put that kind of stuff "off".... I'm lucky Alex is a good shopper with Gwen's blessing (and bank account). HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA. I have a "couple" others I wear once in awhile -- a U Boat Chimera Steel 46mm.... picked up in Monaco when we did the 75th Grand Prix there..... It's so big on my wrist I have to add training wheels when wearing it. And a Chopard that is - of course - car related - since it is a Mille Miglia in Rosso Corsa (matched the paint on the '32 Highboy). I love that watch - but they're really not very good watches...

I'm sure there are a lot of guys here, that are in to watches.... They're fun! And there's so so many of them! OMG.

Happy 65th, Greg! I'll be joining you, in a few months. It's hell getting old but the alternative is probably worse. :headspin:

Love all the pictures your kids are posting, you’re looking pretty sharp and don’t look a day over 65!

Congratulations on making another birthday on this side of the grass!

Sadly this is true -- you don't really want more birthdays -- but you really do!

Happy Birthday Greg! Another 4 months before I join you on Medicare. Look at it this way....now you can get back some of that Medicare money you've been contributing for 50ish years. Make sure you get back every last penny you can.
Here's to this thread picking up again when you turn 70.

F Cancer! And the horse it rode in on.
