I just happened to purchase a 1970 fire bird on a rotisserie, absolutely no rust it came with all parts to restore which are new or refurbished, new 455 motor making over 500 hp new trans all new interior to redo seats, new carpet ,headliner and after market seats full exhaust system ,shocks,. lets put it this way it came with a 20 foot trailer of new parts. is it worth the 12 gs I gave for it or am I under water already. thanks:headscratch:

70 Firebirds are great looking cars, better looking than a camaro of the same vintage as far as I’m concerned. 12k for a no rust, rebuilt driveline, new interior....some assembly required project doesn’t seem horrible to me. Slam out the bodywork and paint, put it together and enjoy the **** out of it.
And post pictures next time, sheesh

If its a no rust car you came out ahead.

I agree with everybody here in saying you did good. If your planning the build up yourself, you’ll be way ahead. If you take this trailer full of stuff to a shop to finish, you’ll likely lose in the end. Nice find btw!

I bought my rusted out pos firebird over 30 years
ago as a race car.. spent so much countless hours and
money on the car that I have come to love it... it has won
a whole bunch of events but I have to say the biggest thing
is I built and rebuilt the car... it becomes a part of you after
a while..
If you are just looking for an investment you did good if
you can finish it yourself... I would ask yourself is it really
something you want and will enjoy? If you just want to
make money on it you better sell it now as they all take
time and effort
