This is the 2004R I had in the yellow ZL-1 clone. The original lockup converter clutch was slipping so I removed it and had Bruce at Performance Transmissions (http://www.ptsnctb.com//) do a complete disassembly; there was not a single clutch or piece to replace, absolutely perfect. I did purchase a new billet converter at the time with a carbon-fiber lock-up clutch disc (2800 stall). This trans has every trick Bruce offered other than a trans brake. Billet input shaft, billet drum, deep pan and extended pickup, etc. It held up perfect behind 800+ rwhp.

I sold the trans to a good friend who has never had a project to put it in. He is now offering it for sale at what he paid me. Trans had app. 1500 miles in my car, and converter has 0 miles (never used).

$2200. plus freight for trans and converter. This setup now is $4K from Bruce. For more info and pics contact Bryan at [email protected]

hmmm, are there advantages to this tranny vs. my th400 with the gear vendors?

The gear vendors and this 2004R are about the same price. The 2004R has a bit taller overdrive and would obviously easier to fit but the GV unit works very well also.
