More info--- I have everything needed to complete the car
except a center console. All interior parts look new. The seats are
very well done in black leather/blue vinyl (could easily change the
blue if not to your liking). Motor, trans, rear end, brakes, fuel
system, AC, cooling system all fresh, also has an MSD setup.
Undercarraige is immaculate, powdercoated frame, splatter paint used on the underside matches the paint color - car was painted and owner was not satisfied with the finish, so he scuffed of the paint and then went on to another project. The guy who delivered it saw the car when it was painted and said he has no clue why the owner messed with the paint job as it looked very nice when completed. The panels line up very well on the car and there is absolutely no rust any where on thecar. The floor are all new and look factory, previous owner told me original floors were fine, but he wanted show quality - the guy was a perfectionist I guess. The 396 is a 66 truck block, as I recall. You could not come close to building this car for what you would have in it after paint. I am also including the matching PPG base coat which set me back $500 for the Gallon. Does run and drive.

There is a restoration shop in Raleigh NC - 3 weeks ago I stopped in to see what they were up to. They had car just about ready to roll out. Nice paint, disck brakes all the way around etc. It was a 1967 Chevelle. I asked about the car .. they said the interior and motor was pretty much done and the car came from Texas.. they painted it and added disc brakes along with a few other things. All I have to say is the car looks great.

That is the car, I sent it up to my Dad in NC, and he is having the resto done at Bill Macs in Raleigh. Here is a link with pic with the air ride

..... FYI, Bill Mac is a great guy and does great/reasonable work (bmacsrestoration.com). TKO600 added as well...

I hope to get this one back when the old man is too tired to push the clutch pedal!

Yes I know Bill - just hadn't been to his new shop - hence I was visting. A budy had mentioned the interior - I asked who did it since I am knee deep in a 1969 G-machine effort -- this is where Bill's son said it was done in Austin. The car does look awsome. The color was great in the shop. Small world .. I used to live in Austin (Round-rock) .. I work for IBM which brought me to NC .. Bill is a Retired IBMer ... MAN I'd rather be doing what he's doing.

69 Camaro is sold...

My Father and Grandfather were both 40 years IBMers.... we have the same Austin/NC connection....

Maybe you have run across the last name Lakoski at IBM before. I am glad the car was finished and kept in the family. All worked out in the end.
