Ok, so I kinda feel like the kid who comes home from school and says, "Look what I made today, Mommy..."

My daughter got a MacBook for school and I was trying out iMovie - some pretty cool stuff you can do... Maybe it's time to 'switch'

Yeah, the end of the video is lame I admit... but I can't really do a burnout in the alley there - gonna have to find somewhere else to do it and then edit that in!

Tom, Does the 502RJ have enough power to spin the tires?  How's it running? I'm going to drop mine in on Saturday, but probably won't have it running for a month or so.

Tom, Where did you mount your oil pressure and engine temp sending units? I put the oil pressure unit at the lower left front of the block, but am not sure where to mount the coolant temp sensor since there is already a temp sensor mounted on the front of the manifold..

I mounted the oil pressure unit at the rear of the block on the driver's side, while I mounted the temperature sending unit in the front of the intake. I put the electric fan sending unit in the passenger side cylinder head.

Well, the engine is in :D ...All went well except for a few glitches. The drivers side header is tight, but not really all that bad going in...the power steering pulley (March Ultra Front Mount) is making slight contact with the steering gear ( I may be able to slightly notch the steering gear housing). The RJ intake is NO WHERE NEAR clearing the steel cowl hood. I cut the sub-structure out of the hood where I needed to but am still 1 7/16 to high...ANY SUGGESTIONS??? I want to stay away from a taller cowl, and don't want to cut a hole in the hood  Right now I'm contemplating having the intake runners shortened...the driveshaft is about two inches too long. I'll try to post a pic or two but think they're too big (1GB).

Hmm, that sucks... It makes sense that there is less clearance on the second gen vs first gen though - the hood seems more sleek. Also, with the Alston front sub the body shop had all kinds of grief saying the fenders wouldn't line up - maybe that worked in my favor to give me more room under the hood. Having to chop up the intake doesn't sound like a good option - I don't think the computer would like that, not to mention the low end torque you would lose. What about one of these? (http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/4332/Accel-Pro-Ram-Fuel-Injection.htm) Halfway kidding of course, I'm sure you don't want to spend that much more! Where is it hitting, in the front or rear?

Tom, Too late on the intake, it's already in the process of having the runners shortened. I'm really hoping that it doesn't have a huge affect on power. I'm taking off an inch and a half. Maybe one of the EFI/TPI experts will chime in with good input. If modding the intake doesn't work out I'll just have to go another route...what would hotrodding be if you didn't have to MAKE things fit? :D How's your car doing???? Have you driven it on the highway yet? I've got the same tranny and rear, so am anxious to here...

Sure, I've driven on the highway...5th gear is great, just idling along at 2000RPM doing 75! I have a couple of niggling things that I have yet to fix such as an oil/transmission fluid (not sure which) leak that dribbles out... damn I hate that. Plus after the last drive the rear end seems to have belched a few tablespoons of gear oil out of the vent - what's up with that?? Everything else is good though, just can't wait to get the interior in. I've just about got the trunk done and need to mount the front speakers, then I can start in on the center console.
