Decided to put a T56 in my second gen project...will be running an LSA for power. Any thoughts on using a stock GM Aluminum bell housing vs a Quicktime bell housing. Obviously, the steel bell housing will give added protection in the event things let loose. What are most of you running? Car will be mostly street driven with an occasion autocross.....

I'm using a stock BH for my TKO/LS3 combo.

Any idea which clutch you're using?
The Chevrolet Performance one doesn't fit inside the factory bell. A single clutch or McLeod dual will fit inside.
On a stock LSA with your use I'd be comfortable with a factory bell. If you build it up to 700hp well then I'd get nervous and want to go with a QT.
We stock and sell both bell housings on our site FYI.

Thanks Dale..... I will do some upgrades to the LSA, probably will be less than 700HP, but close. I have not decided on a clutch, not sure which is the best choice with an LSA?? What factory bell housing will work with a dual disc set-up??

The standard LS to T56 aluminum bell housing; there's only one. Unless you have a TR6060 then it's different.
The McLeod RST twin disc should work out, 6405807. Might call & ask them though. Every time we use a twin disc its higher HP and that's when I go with a QT bell.
I just think about all the 98-02 F-body guys who upgrade to the RST or RXT and don't upgrade their bell housing so that's why I believe it'll fit.

Which Chevy Performance clutch are you referring to? Would that be the same as an "LS7" clutch?

Well... I pulled the trigger, I just ordered my T56 Magnum and a Quicktime bell housing RM8020. Holley told me a dual disc setup up to 11" will fit in this housing. I know the LSA has an 8 bolt flywheel unlike an LS9 that has a 9 bolt.... Does anyone have input on a dual disc set up and flywheel choice that perform well??
