That the Mustang that caused a thread to be locked earlier in the week mysteriously disappeared from ebay between yesterday and today? Wonder what that means.
Either somebody bought it before it ended or the seller was jacking around with the bidding.

I heard it was number 2.. and wasn't it "pulled by Ebay" rather than just ended early?

Two reasons.. either somebody was "shilling" up the bid or some sort of shenanigans having to do with SPAM email.
In other words something has to happen to violate Ebays rules either by the selling party or some other person(s).

Wow.. this is shady as well.. i guess the guy selling the Mustang is trying to do an end-run around Ebay pulling his ad. He has a Camaro for sale and this is at the end of the auction:
ATTN MUSTANG BIDDERS:
EBAY CANCELLED THE MUSTANG AD DUE TO THE TITLE SAYING GT AND SHELBY, I GUESS THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT AND PICK THEIR BATTLES.
IT IS STILL FOR SALE AND I AM GOING TO ACCEPT PHONE OFFERS TILL WED 12 NOON PST . CALL 602 670 8880 LEAVE A MESSAGE WITH THE AMOUNT YOU'LL PAY AND I WILL CALL YOU BACK IF YOUR THE WINNER. I'M TRYING TO STAY TRUE TO THE AUCTION AND TIME. HIGH BID WAS 54.5K AT THE TIME OF CANCEL
AS FOR THE CAMARO MAYBE THEY'LL CANCEL IT CAUSE ITS NOT AN RS/SS......
That's bs about Ebay pulling the ad because the title says GT and Shelby.. what sort of nonsense is that? (woops, I thought he meant in the title of the car.. not the title of the auction.. lol)
And if Ebay finds out about this they will pull this auction and cancel the guys account. You can't use ebay to try and sell stuff outside of ebay since they don't get thier fee that way. It's almost stealing from Ebay.
Hokey.. and I wonder if that "high bid" at the end of the auction was a real bid or why it was pulled by Ebay???
To shady.. Nice Camaro though.

actually that makes sense, ebay doesn't allow you to cross-advertise in your titles, you can't put multiple names in it so it comes up in more searches. They pull auctions like that all the time for that exact reason. he wanted people looking for shelby's and GT"s to see his mustang and that is against ebay's policies. And ebay won't cancel his account either, just pull that auction too, but I doubt they would even do that.

last I checked, it was up to $54.5K but whose to say his buddies didn't bid on it for him.

Getting close to the end of the auction and only his shills were still bidding and he didn't want to pay the extra $40 final value fee. That's my feeling.
